This is one of the most beautiful ryokans we have ever stayed in. From the architecture and the rooms to the gardens. everything was stunning. Our room, which overlooked the garden and the koi pond, was spacious and lovely. There was incredible attention to every detail, and the service was exceptional, even by Japanese standards. The staff was helpful and always greeted us with a smile. The Japanese breakfast was both varied and delicious. This is Japan at its very best.

Everything about our stay at Yōyōkaku was perfect. The entire staff was incredibly friendly and made us feel so welcome. Both the breakfast and dinner were delicious and beautifully prepared. Plus, the location is very convenientjust a short walk to Karatsu Castle. Highly recommended!

Gorgeous Ryokan. My room was overlooking the little inner garden with the pond and I enjoyed every moment gazing out of the window. Very tranquil place surrounded by a Japanese garden. The room was tastefully decorated and very comfortable. Everyone was very attentive and friendly, making the stay a wonderful experience. Both dinner and breakfast were delicious, varied and of high quality. I wish I could have stayed longer!

Room view matches the photos perfectly. The meal quality exceeded expectations, delivering a delightful surprise. The accommodation l stayed at featured private hot springs, so even without venturing outside the inn, l could relax right there!

“It was very special”
Yoyokaku left us a very special memory our of all the places we stayed in Kyushu. Everyone was so kind to us and our little girl really enjoyed interacting with them even though we don’t speak their language. The whole place was immaculate and atmospheric especially with their outdoor garden and pond with carps. We could tell that our meals were made with lots of care and love. Thank you for the wonderful hospitality.
