“Beautiful hotel on the beach”
Beautifully designed hotel right on the beach. Amazing breakfast, probably the best Japanese-style breakfast I had on my Japan trip. Check in staff were very friendly and hospitable.

The outside of the ryokan is worn by the ocean breeze, so when we arrived and saw the exterior, we were prepared to be disappointed. The inside of the ryokan, however, looks nothing like the exterior, and we were very pleased with our gorgeous room and open air bath. The rooms was spacious, and clean, and our toddler enjoyed running around on the tatami without us having to worry about him making too much noise. The staff were always very courteous and helpful. Our toddler has recently developed a "big" personality and sitting down for a multi-course meal with him is a challenge. The staff went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable and to accommodate our needs, even going so far to send up the final course and dessert to our room when I had to leave early with him. The food and drink our excellent, particularly the squid sashimi, tai, and local sake. We felt very well looked after. The nearby pool and beach are also excellent for visitors with children. When we were leaving, a member of the staff even drove us to the station to avoid the heat!

the staff were particularly friendly and charming. the location of the property - right on the beach with a walk through the pine woods was lovely and the onsen on the roof we really enjoyed.
