I had a great stay at Snow Leopard. People were so friendly, i had a nice room too. I can recommend it 100%.

The staff are helpful and friendly. The room has its own bathroom with showers which was fantastic. The breakfast is a good price and tastes good. The location is good too, it's close to a shop and a fun bar.

The stay was very nice. The room was very clean and the staff was very helpfull. The host Jalil was very welcoming and he helped us with any activity we wanted to do. He got us a Taxi to go do the Altyn Arashan hike and the Ala kul lake hike. Very good hostel!

Great place, awesome room, awesome hosts. If you want somewhere to stay in Karakol where you feel welcomed like family, this is your place. Looking forward to revisiting one day, perhaps in winter to go skiing.

Great hostel, very helpful staff, clean and comfortable rooms and a good sauna for a reasonable price.

The hostel is quite spacious, actually more of a guesthouse. There is a large comfortable dining room. The owners Janyl and his wife are very welcoming and speak good English. There is a supermarket 100m away. The dorm has 2 bathrooms that are not shared with other guests.

Simple but good guest house. Around 15min walk to the centre.

The hostel has amazing hosts and I felt very safe here which is important for me as a solo traveler. They were extremely helpful during my hiking preparation and planning and provided tips and guidance. The owners are so warm, kind, and hard working and I ended up staying here multiple times.

Really cosy place with lovely owners. A great hostel to socialise (they have beer? But to also relax after a few nights up in Altyn Arashan.

“A welcoming leopard”

The Snow Leopard is a friendly place, there is a common room where people go for tea, beer and snacks or just to hang out and it is a good spot for a chat and to exchange info. The owner organized a very nice and fair priced horse ride to Boz-Uchck Lake for me.

The staff are incredibly helpful: from giving dinner suggestions and helping me navigate the local public transport to helping me retrieve a lost item after I had already left

Aizada and Jalil Are amazing hosts, very welcoming, easy communication on what’s app and good information about activities and trips in the surrounding mountains. Clean, good breakfast. Would highly recommend staying and would stay again if we come back to Karakol!!

Snow Leopard Hostel is a simple yet very welcoming place, with everything you need to feel comfortable. The lady running it was incredibly kind: we had to rush out for a tour and she even helped us by hanging up all our laundry to dry. Such a thoughtful gesture that really made the difference. The rooms and common areas are clean, the location is convenient, and the overall atmosphere feels warm and homely. A great base for exploring Karakol and the surroundings.

“Warm welcome, great value for money”

Great value for money hostel! The owners are passionate about hospitality and making sure their guests are happy. They managed to book a private yurt for us in a valley 15 km away, only one day in advance, while everything was sold out online! People with a good heart and good connections, you see and feel it. Don’t expect a 5 star hotel, it’s a very value for money hostel. You can leave bags for a few days when hiking in the area, free of charge. Tea for free all day. Can even use the kitchen. Great atmosphere

Our stay at the snow leopard was wonderful. The rooms were very clean and the owners of the hostel helped us preparing for the wonderful trekking in the area. They speak very good english and the atmosphere is very nice. Would definitely recommend!

Really enjoyed my stay here, came back after my trek too. It’s a sociable place and easy to meet other travelers too.
