Value for money but a bit cold

I enjoyed my 8-night stay and appreciate the hospitality and kindness of the host family! I liked my room, which was spacious, clean and tidy, with big windows and a cute coffee table. The bathroom was always clean too, the shower water was hot enough. Well equipped kitchen and good WiFi was a plus. Supermarket is just 100 metres away. The main attractions in town are within walkable distance. Special thanks goes to the hostess Ажар, she’s a sweet lady with good cooking skills!

Very clean traditional house. The owners are very friendly and live next door. They are always available and helpful with any questions. A very pleasant stay.

“Recommedations”

It's very practical to stay at Sono. It's situated in the center near to many restaurants. Also mashrutka stations are near. Rooms are nice and clean, beds very comfortable, the family very friendly. Athmosphere is good as being part of local life.

The owner is so kind and understandable that I just felt like my home. While going to Altyn Arashan, she kept my baggage in safety. After coming back, I could do my laundry. Most of the tourist points are in the walking distance. SONO is the best guest house in Karakul!

Neat and clean big rooms

Great location close to the centre, but still in a calm and quiet street. Lovely house, it was very cozy and authentic. The host was kind, helpful and flexible with the check-in.

“Homely small guesthouse in the centre of Karakol”

I stayed in Karakol for a month as a solo traveller to volunteer/ski and I’m very glad that I chose Guest House SONO. The location is unbeatable, the bedroom was big and clean with a comfortable bed, and Azhar was welcoming and helpful with laundry etc. Yes, the kitchen is small and there is one bathroom, but I never had to compete for either of these spaces. Value for money is the best you’ll find.

Everything was as I expected! Beautiful and cozy house, with a nice owner. She tried her best to help me with anything. Close to the city center, buses and markets.

Arrived cold and wet from a hike and were welcomed in swiftly. Great facilities it's a house with a hot shower, kitchen area (fridge/freezer hobs, microwave, kettle, washing machine) and managed to dry our shoes out on top.of the boiler. Also located centrally in town and well priced.
