“Beautiful boutique hotel on Koh Sdach”

We loved everything about the hotel, the hotel is beautiful. It was our 40th wedding anniversary whilst we were staying and the staff did everything to make our stay enjoyable. The General Manager Makara welcomed us personally and took us to the room, which was decorated with flowers and a fresh fruit basket left. We stayed in the villas over the sea and they were fabulous, large, comfortable and clean. We loved the little plunge pool at the back of the bungalow and enjoyed sitting on the patio watching the fish in the sea. The breakfast was delicious, with a varied buffet of Asian and Western food, with fresh eggs cooked to order. The hotel clearly employs an excellent chef as the food was delicious, we ate mainly Asian food and it was delicious. We were at the restaurant one lunchtime when a fisherman moored next to the hotel and Makara, the General Manager explained to us that the chef was buying fresh fish for dinner that evening. So that evening we tried the fish for dinner, it was delicious. We occasionally ate the European food and that too was of an exceptionally high standard, particularly the pizza. Unlimited fresh water offered daily, a real bonus in the heat. The pool area was excellent, with numerous sun loungers, parasols and nets over the sea, with cushions to lounge on. There is a private beach area with sun loungers and parasols with free use of kayaks and you can visit the sister hotel on another beach free of charge. There are also free bicycles for use around the resort. The staff were all very helpful and attentive, in particular Messrs Chau, Srouy and Phos on reception and Yon Champey, the lovely waitress in the dining area, who always greeted us with a smile and efficiency. The hotel and staff certainly justify a 10 on Booking.com, if there was any issues, not that there were any serious issues, they were dealt with immediately.

The overwater bungalow was very spacious, had all facilities, including a heated toilet seat, a large bath and was overall superb. The private pool, balcony, loungers and access to the bathwater warm sea were fabulous. It was luxurious. The beach was kept very clean and had gorgeous white and soft sand with plenty of loungers. It was amazing to see the fish through the glass floor in the restaurant whilst eating the sumptuous breakfast and delicious meals. The swimming pool was fabulous too. The staff were all excellent with the best customer service I have experienced in Asia. They could not do enough for me and greeted me by name every morning even though the hotel was full for Chinese New Year which the staff also invited me to join in their celebration.

“Experience genuine island life in a stunning 5 star resort”

We stayed in a king villa on the pier at the amazing Koh Apikjun resort. With steps down into the water as well as your own small pool and deck it was totally relaxing and atmospheric. The location was stunning. Despite being a 5 star resort it was soo relaxed and in touch with the real world. A small fishing boat trip out to the reef for snorkelling, sunset cruise, kayaking, swimming and hiring an e-scooter to ride into the authentic fishing village. Soo relaxing and also lots of fun. The restaurant has a fresh tropical ambience with a pool out over the water and lots of comfy spots sit and have a drink. Khmer people are exceptionally kind and cannot do enough for you. Koh Apikjun lived up to this reputation. The staff went above and beyond our expectations. The food was beautiful and the breakfast buffet had heaps of variety. It is unlikely that we will ever be able to visit again but we would stay at Koh Apikjun again in a heart beat if we had an opportunity.

“Wonderful chalets over the sea, impeccable service and excellent restaurant with delicious sea food”

We were upgraded from a standard hotel room which we had booked - to one of the very beautiful chalet rooms which are on stilts over the water. So this was a wonderful bonus. The resort was quieter than usual because of the conflict on the border - although clearly the island is far enough away from the border to be at no risk at all. These rooms have a lovely balcony area to enjoy the sea views - a small plunge pool - a sitting room, with comfy settee and large smart TV , a kitchen area, bedroom and generous sized bathroom. They are high quality rooms - well maintained and serviced. Clean and comfortable. The restaurant has a very varied menu - we ate there every night for the whole week we stayed on the lsland because there were plenty of options and the quality of the cooking was so good. The sea food - as you would expect for a hotel located by a fishing village - is extremely fresh and delicious. The breakfast options lean towards more Chinese options than European - but we found enough that suited us. I must mention the restaurant staff - who were exceptional in their standard of service, unfailingly polite and attentive - and the restaurant supervisors had a high standard of English, so if they were not busy, they were very interesting to talk to about the topics of Cambodian life that interested us.

A Blissful Escape at Koh Apikjun Resort I recently had the most brilliant stay at Koh Apikjun Resort, and from the moment I arrived until my reluctant departure, everything was simply perfect. The entire team exudes warmth and genuine hospitality, making you feel like a cherished guest right away. A special shoutout goes to Samuth and Sambath at the restaurant—their attentiveness elevated every meal into a memorable experience. Don't miss the pizza; it's an absolute must-try, bursting with flavor, and the cocktails are just as impressive, crafted with care and creativity. The accommodations were equally outstanding. The beds were incredibly comfortable, providing the perfect rest after a day of island adventures. The island itself is paradise, with stunning turquoise blue waters that are calm and inviting—hardly any waves to disrupt the tranquility, which made it great to use on of the resort kayaks in the mornings. The resort is surrounded by lush greenery and beautifully maintained gardens, adding to the overall sense of natural beauty and relaxation. I can't recommend Koh Apikjun Resort enough and am already counting down the days until I can return! If you're seeking a peaceful, welcoming getaway, this is the spot.

“Affordable luxury away from it all”

The villa on the water was amazing. The villa was huge, was on the water and had a private pool. The aircon was great and it was amazing to be able to swim in the sea every morning and there was a lot of beautiful fish. You got a great view of the sunset. The team were very attentive and they brought drinks and food to the room without charge. They were very good when we got sick. The manager, Phil was very kind and attentive. Our carrier, Yin Comhey, was a delight. She made our visit - so kind and sweet. It was very luxurious. The team were very attentive and looked after us so well. I highly recommend.

“2 Days in Paradise Island with the comfort of the city !”

The private villa is perfect: beautiful spot right over the water, private pool and direct access to the sea ! We had dinner on our private terrace with a sunset view. Perfectly quiet and very comfortable bed! Breakfast was very complete with western and Asian food. Coffee made directly by the barista for free, a real plus.

Everything was excellent! We got a free room Upgrade on arrival which was amazing, the rooms were so clean and the bungalows were amazing, a true paradise. The staff were excellent, arranged everything for us and always willing to help. The staff were so friendly and always smiling and are the reason I would come back again. The breakfast was excellent, a lot of choice and the Avacado toast was delicious! 10/10 would recommend! Our stay was great and made so much better with the excellent staff. We will come back again :)

Koh Apikjun Resort is a paradise on Koh Sdach. We stayed in an overwater villa (EV05) for 7 nights and really enjoyed our stay. Perfect place to relax and go snorkelling. The staff are all super friendly, we were absolutely spoilt. The room service and the cuisine is especially great. Romantic dinners on the private terrace with private pool and direct sea access, sunset views... What more could you want? អរគុណ​ច្រើន 🙏🙏🙏 The island itself is (still) a real insider tip for western visitors. You should visit the traditional fishing village on the island. The people are very nice. Use translation apps, the language barrier is not a problem. In the pharmacy, for example, we were served before opening time at 6:30 a.m.

“Beautiful island resort”

After travelling through Cambodia for 3 weeks, we wanted to relax on an island. Koh Sdach was a good choice. And the Koh Apikjun resort was the perfect place. The bungalows on the water are spacious and comfortable. Each bungalow has a small pool and a ladder into the sea. The staff are super friendly, fulfilled our every wish and also helped us organise our onward journey. We would love to stay here again.
