A great area. (Nelson Atkinson art museum very close by. ) Italian restaurant within walking distance for dinner) Lovely rooms. Art & art books. Artisan Chocolates . Madeleines and apples . Malin & Goetz products . The owner was in touch with us by phone if we had any questions

“Amazing boutique place to stay at a great price!”
Everything!! I booked here as we had done a few nights in various chain hotels on our road trip so wanted something local and independent for a change. We absolutely loved everything about it, from the Nespresso Coffee with madeleines to the walk in shower and outdoor sitting areas. Only a short walk to the Plaza district for all your culinary needs.

“A boutique hotel with charm”
The ambiance of the hotel and the room was excellent. As you entered, you a wonderful smell filled the air, everything was beautifully set up. Very clean with a lot of small special amenities, we loved our stay. Extremely well located, we walked to most places and returned by Uber. Parking onsite was easy. We never saw any staff. Everything was arranged by messages and entry codes.

“The Truitt boutique hotel is stylish, comfortable, and practical.”
The Truitt is a beautiful property and it’s obvious that its owners put great care into every detail. The location is within walking distance to the Nelson Atkins art museum and a short drive to the Country Club Plaza. Our room was stylish and comfortable and we will definitely be returning for future stays in KC.

I loved how cozy and private it felt for being a hotel. Walking to the art museum was perfect for a night out and it’s located close to many restaurants. The property managers were so kind and helpful and made us feel very welcome while we were there. Definitely recommend!

“Excellent Boutique Hotel Experience”
Beautiful “Boutique” hotel. Very charming, very comfortable, very quiet and very classy. We loved that we did not have to go stand at a check in desk to gain entry into our room. Everything is completed before you arrive and you can let yourself in with the access codes that you are provided. This is a high end experience at a very affordable price. I strongly recommend this hotel and we will book again…
