The beautiful surroundings and the ambiance in the evening with all the lights on. Felt like a fairytale.The boma created a wonderful place before dinner in the evening ,where you could meet people and share your different experience of the day. There was always coffee,tea ,cold drinks and homemade biscuits available throughout the day. The free walk with a guide before sunset was very special! Staff was so friendly and made sure your needs are being looked after.

Wonderful location, beautifully laid out. Nice room and comfortable beds with high quality linen. Staff were all lovely and very attentive. After dinner African singing performed by the staff was a real treat, loved the Amarula song! Buffet was excellent, nice to get some veg, and that's from a meat eater! Quite good value at 415, though could see why light eaters may feel it was expensive as price is fixed

Staff went out of their way to accommodate us. We had to check in late due to car trouble, but it was not a hassle. I was just sorry we missed the sunset at Gondwana lodge. The next morning we wanted to see the sunrise over the canyon. They allowed us to have a late breakfast. Breakfast and dinner were exceptional. Food is really good.

The main lodge area has a welcoming atmosphere, and the pool is especially refreshing in the warm Namibian climate. Watching the sunset over the rocky surroundings is a highlight in itself. The location makes it a convenient base for visiting Fish River Canyon early in the morning, and the overall setting feels authentic and tranquil. One very special touch was that we stayed over Christmas Eve, and the staff truly went the extra mile to make it memorable. They prepared small gifts for the guests and even organized a festive performance, which created a warm and joyful atmosphere. It was a thoughtful gesture that made us feel genuinely welcome and appreciated.
