“Best lodge so far in Namibia”

Of all hotels we stayed in Namibia, this is by far the best as the bed is extremely comfortable to sleep on and the room is very cozy too. The staff here is very friendly and the food is amazing (buffet style for both breakfast and dinner). We saw a lot of stars and milky way band here as well, just slightly outside the entrance of the lodge. Definitely recommend travelers to stay here if you are here to see Fish River Canyon as it's around 20min drive from the canyon to the lodge.

After staying at the Gondwana Lodge in Kalahari desert, which was really disappointing, I was sceptical with this location. But it turned out to be a very pleasurable experience. The food was good (even though the main course was from a buffet without an a la cart option). The Lodges had enough space and were clean. I'm personally not a big fan of the design (tacky hobit houses in the middle of a miniature golf course in orange, blue and green light), but everyones taste is different. The pool was very beautiful and the staff extremely nice and attentive. Highlight was the morning Canyon drive by Austin. He is a great guide how explained a lot and was able to answer all our questions.

Amazing setting and stunning staff

Friendly staff and very helpful.Stunning lodge an oasis with lush green lawns and chalets that blend into the landscape.We enjoyed the pool and the beautiful view.Interesting historical main building very special.

“Stunning and Beautiful Complex”

Spacious complex tastefully laid out, comfortable chalet incl bed with mosquito nets, restaurant (buffet and à la carte) open 19:30-21hs, but come early, 10m swimming pool at stunning isolated location with views over savannah. Staff friendly and helpful. WiFi only at reception and restaurant. Internet also not available in the far away spread chalets. Tours: 4x4 selfdrive in Gondwana Park challenging to drive though worth while (counted 20 springbocks + 2 kudus) Guided Sundowner probably better in the morning and can be done easily as a selfdrive.

“Amazing property, 100% worth a visit”

This place is really stunning, nestled in-between the desert and beautiful rock formations, I have never seen anything quite like it in my life. Level of service is unbelievable, people are very friendly and you have got to have dinner there! I'm not exaggerating when I say this was the best meal I have ever had in my life, it's unreal. Location is good, close to the main entry to the Fish river canyon. Lodges are very beautiful as is the entire property. You even have a resident Oryx that roams the grounds and a whole bunch of dassies. I recommend the sundown walk they offer as an extra.

What a lovely surprise to arrive at this stunning lodge after al long drive. A refreshing oasis with lush green lawns. Everything is in tip top condition and well maintained. The rooms are stunning with luxury amenities. Oh and the views are amazingly beautiful.

One of the most beautiful places that we have ever stayed in! The facilities and meals were excellent and the staff very friendly. The sunset and sunrise views of the desert, the rocks and the lodge from the hill were next level.

We thoroughly enjoyed the stay. From the warm welcome to the assistance we received throughout. The facility was bustling, but the staff treated each one as if they were the only ones there. As a gateway to the Fish River Canyon, a site we had looked forward to seeing, the Canyon Lodge did not disappoint. The sunset walk is highly recommended!
