Beautiful, peaceful setting. Enjoyed walking the paths from the property. Spa treatments we had were very good, but in a guest room not in a spa.

W15 Hanthana Estate A Very Special Place Our stay has been truly exceptional in every way since arriving three days ago. We have stayed in many lovely hotels across the world and never experienced such attention to detail and personal service. Nothing was too much trouble for Sidath and his team (including a very competent chef) reflecting true professionalism. The smiles of kindness from Navod, Manila and Keerthi will have a special place for us on this month tour of Sri Lanka on our motorbikes. We even left with beautifully cleaned motorbikes having arrived with the dirtiest! The location is fabulous with a feeling that you’re on top of the world. Sadly, the weather was a little cool for our time at the estate so we didn’t use the lovely pool. We were however, very happy to sit on the veranda with a book and the view. Our room was delightful, with lovely bathroom touches, delicious chocolates on arrival and the turndown service something to look forward to with a hot water bottle to warm the bed. We don’t want to give anymore away as it may spoil the specialness of a visit should you choose to stay. We can only recommend the hotel and thank everyone at W15 Hanthana for ours. Amazing!

W15 Hanthana is an incredible place with stunning views and the best service. Everyone was so attentive and thoughtful – a special thank you to Hastha, our wonderful butler, and to Sheriff, Manjula, Keerthi, and Navod for making our stay so special. The rooms were spotless and very comfortable, and they gave us an upgrade on our second night which was very kind. They truly think of everything – even hot water bottles in the bed at turndown! It’s a bit out of the way from main Kandy and reached by a very bumpy road but was fine for us as we only stayed 2 nights and we had a driver. We’d recommend going all-inclusive if you plan to do the hike and jeep tours. The hike is moderate with some steep areas, and long trousers are a must due to leeches. The food was excellent, especially the breakfast and rice & curry. Overall, a perfect stay – beautiful setting, amazing staff, and unforgettable experience.

The staff are just incredible, Manjula and Navod took such great care of us. The manager is so warm and welcoming, too. The location is amazing. It’s close enough to Kandy or other attractions but far enough to feel like you’re in the middle of nature and enjoying peace and quiet. Our hike with Aju was wonderful, he is so knowledgable. Food was amazing! Some of the best we’ve had in Sri Lanka - the pastries and fresh bread we had were exceptional. Also the room we stayed in was gorgeous (stable suite) - lovely decor, fittings to a high spec, and the bed & linen was so comfy.

Incredible boutique hotel experience. Located very high up in a unique private setting on its own estate, offering the perfect retreat from the hustle and bustle of Kandy town. The Colonial style building has so much character and the staff were super attentive and helpful.

“w15 Hanthana is paradise!”

W15 Hanthana Estate is Paradise! The rooms, the furniture, the decoration, the details, the view etc. are so wonderful! But most of all we love the service from the staff, who are real gentlemen: Seriff, Hantha, Manjulla, Niroshan. Sheriff informed us about upgrade of our room. It was so nice to inform us about upgrade room on my birthday! he was also so good explaining about dishes for dinner and lunch. Hantha gave my husband unique experience (he teaches my husband to eat traditional sri—lanka dish by hand), my husband asked him. Hantha was very good and delicate teacher. We also asked him a lot of questions about the Estate and he told us very interesting history about Estate. Niroshan brought us a book with historical photoes of building process of the Estate. Manjulla is a good coctail mixer, he very attentively listened our preferences and made us super cocktails. We spent wonderful days with those unique gentelmen. Bless them God. We will come back
