“A friendly slice of paradise!”
Sulochana was such a terrific and generous host, who went above and beyond to make sure our family (especially our little ones) were comfortable and enjoyed the stay. Her food was the most delicious that we ate during our time in Sri Lanka, and not surprisingly her cooking class was a highlight too! Thank you Sulochana!

Loved staying at Thotupola Residence! The riverside villa is super relaxing and the kitchen is just amazing – perfect for cooking and hanging out. Such a calm spot by the river, great for a laid-back stay.

This place has a wonderful location near the river where kids can run around and there are lots of birds. I only wish we had spent more time near our room. Sulochana can also teach you how to cook curry and she makes great breakfast too.

We took a cooking course while we stayed there and had so much fun. Rooms were spacious and beautifully decorated. Beautiful view down the river.

Super nice and comfortable place next to the river, feels as you are in the nature. If you are looking for a quiet place outside of the busy town, this is a good place to go. The owners are a very friendly family and they give the best that you feel comfortable. They are also offering a very tasty and fresh dinner, even if it's a bit expensive for Sri Lankian standards.
