“Beautiful castle themed hotel overlooking the mountains of Kandy”

We were amazed by the castle theme, which was implemented through the whole hotel! The kids loved the pool and we all loved the restaurant which is overlooking the mountains of Kandy. This is especially beautiful in the evening for dinner, with all of the lights around you. Breakfast was great as well and the staff was lovely

This property was one of the highlights of our trip. I would strongly recommend The Castle to anyone visiting Kandy. Clean rooms with spectacular views and the management deserve kudos to be there for any help you could possibly need.

The perfect place for a romantic getaway. We stayed for one night and had a beautiful room with a stunning mountain view. The interior was so cozy and made us feel right at home. The staff were friendly and welcoming, and the breakfast was grand and delicious. We truly enjoyed our stay it’s definitely a hidden gem!

As a solo traveler, I found this to be one of the most beautiful places to stay. The antique collectibles and unique interior made it feel like living in a castle. I was warmly welcomed with such friendly hospitality. The staff were incredibly helpful, guiding me with route maps and arranging easy tuk-tuk access. They even assisted me with my laundry, which I truly appreciated. The food was absolutely delicious. I genuinely enjoyed my stay at this charming castle.

Nice and extraordinary boutique hotel. very nice and friendly staff. They helped whenever needed. Room was spacious, well maintained and clean. Pool also clean and nice.

OMG, this place is sooo good, what a find. The homemade meals are amazing, all the staff are fab and loved the gym and pool too. Great location to look over the hills and watch the sun set.

The Castle by Don Louis was beautiful. Clean and peaceful. Only a short tuk tuk ride from the centre of town, but away from the noise and traffic . Waking up every morning and looking out over the valley was beautiful. The rooms were clean and beds very comfortable . The staff were lovely and very polite . My daughter received a red rose on Valentines days , She was so happy about that . The pool was very refreshing after our day tours . We loved our few days at The Castle Thoroughly recommend Thank you to all the staff at The Castle by Don Louis

It's an interesting place, very random and eclectic but that's what I liked about it. It actually does feel like a castle lol. The staff were very friendly and engaging..we ended up having dinner at the hotel which was lovingly cooked up by our hostess and we were provided with authentic Sri Lankan food. The view from our room was amazing.

“A great place to stay, exceptional views with the most wonderful staff”

Koshali and her staff were exceptional in looking after us and we were made to feel so welcome. Clean and Comfortable Hotel. My daughter and one of the other guests, Rob, had their birthdays whilst stopping there and Koshali organised a joint surprise tea with a themed cricket cake for them which was such a great touch. She also got my daughter a Sri Lankan cricket shirt as a present. The food was lovely and my wife took up the opportunity of Koshali's cookery knowledge to make some traditional Sri Lankan dishes to cook back home. We were there for the cricket so stopped there longer than most of the guests who were travelling and in doing so got to know Koshali and her team very well. The hotel is tucked away and out of all the hustle and bustle of the city which was ideal for us but you are soon able to get back in it with a short tuk tuk trip which is entertainment in itself. When we left, Koshali got up at 5.30 am to see us off which was fitting end to what was truly a wonderful stay so thank you Koshali. We will be back!!

“Best Romantic Place with Mountain View”

A perfect romantic getaway and our second time staying here and once again, it did not disappoint. The staff gave us a very warm welcome early in the morning straight after our direct flight to the hotel, which we truly appreciated. The rooms were clean and comfortable, and the breakfast was delicious with a great variety. The staff were extremely attentive, and the management was friendly and professional. The pool is well maintained, and the hotel offers excellent facilities including a sauna, gym, shisha, and table tennis. Highly recommended, and we would definitely love to come back again.

Had a wonderful stay at this hotel in Kandy, Sri Lanka. The manager, Koshali, was incredibly helpful and always ready to assist with anything we needed, which made our stay feel very welcoming. The staff were also extremely friendly, adding to the warm and comfortable atmosphere throughout our stay. The food was delicious with plenty of variety, and the room quality was excellent—clean, comfortable, and well-maintained. The hotel is very easy to access, and the surroundings are calm and peaceful, perfect for unwinding after exploring the city. The rates are also very affordable, offering great value for the experience. Overall, a truly pleasant and relaxing stay. Highly recommended!

The hotel has a unique charm and is very nice and clean, also the breakfast was very generous and delicious. The playroom and a playground for kids is a big plus. The bed was very comfortamble.

We loved our stay here. Up in the hills but just a quick tuk tuk ride into the town. The staff were fantastic and the breakfast was very good with lots of options. Would absolutely recommend if you want somewhere outside of the town.

The breakfast was delicious with a selection of Sri Lankan and western style choices. The owner of the hotel arranged a driver to take us to Ella with excursions to the botanical gardens and a tea plantation en route. The owner is a very informative and caring lady.
