Range is a new adventure/activity based hotel in Kandy specializing in trekking, cycling, yoga, cookery, photography, golf, bird watching, plantation visits and many other activities. It is only 4.7 km away from the Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic and ideally based for sightseeing in and around Kandy. The unique property has 5 rooms and attached bathrooms with hot water and air conditioning. No two rooms are alike, and the varied and vibrant décor creates an upbeat mood that is the Range signature. Facilities include swimming pool, lounge, restaurant, tea/coffee, library, TV room and rooftop recreation area with stunning views and free Wi-Fi. The restaurant serves a mix of cuisines and fusion dishes. Adventure guides and equipment for various activities can be hired at the hotel. Transportation and tours can be arranged on request.

“Great place to stay!”
- Great location. On top of the hill so it’s tucked away from the traffic and noise of the city centre and has great views. - Friendly, helpful, professional and well dressed staff all with great English on hand around the clock. The helped us sort our laundry, carry our luggage to and from our room, plan our days and get around via Tuk Tuk or taxi. - Breakfast was included, they were happy to serve it at whichever time we requested and it was always there on time so we could easy fit it around our schedule. - Austin the Tuk Tuk driver that works for the hotel was very helpful and friendly. We exchanged numbers and were able to organise lifts with him at short notice to go to and from wherever we needed to go. He always replied and arrived promptly and spoke perfect English so it made the entire process very simple. He was also able to give us lots of tips, advice and local knowledge.

Our experience at the hotel was exceptionally good. Every member of the staff was remarkably kind and attentive, which truly enhanced our visit. We were consistently amazed by the stunning, incredible views the hotel offered. And, of course, the breakfast was absolutely fantastic, with a great selection and high quality.

“We stayed here for two full days with our family and had a wonderful experience.”
First of all, the location of this hotel is excellent — just about 4 km from Kandy town, yet tucked away in a peaceful and quiet area, far from the noise and traffic of the city. In my opinion, this is one of the most underrated hotels in the area. It’s situated on top of a mountain, offering breathtaking views. The hotel manager, Mr. Piyantha, was very attentive, and another staff member, Thinusa, was also incredibly helpful and friendly. Overall, we had a very pleasant and relaxing stay here and would definitely recommend it to others.

“Lovely Staff”
The staff at the Range Kandy were amazingly attentive from the start. The breakfast was really large, varied and good. The tuk tuk driver ordered by the hotel was really helpful and cheap, and we saw a dance show on his recommendation which we really enjoyed. Thank you for our pleasant stay! Recommended!!!

This location was too far from the main area of town however if you’re looking for a quiet escape then this is the place. The staff were very accommodating, respectful and helpful, they did their best ti make us comfortable. Unfortunately after processing payment for our second night we were told to pay more due to their error, upon payment the price went up again.

The hotel is located just outside the city centre .a beautiful, nice quiet location.extremely very friendly helpful staff. especially the perfect host. And the breakfast Sri lankan rotti were delicious. The rooms are clean and comfortable we had a lovely stay. Good value for money.

“Family of 4 had a fun few nights stay in Kandy and were made to feel very welcome at the Range.”
The property is in a good location for Kandy’s attractions and is wonderfully quirky. The family room was a nice space for a family of 4. The best thing about the hotel is the manager and staff. They were always ready to help and so friendly. They helped us with multiple travel arrangements and even arranged for a local yoga guru to come and give us a fantastic roof top yoga session. Breakfast and dinner was also great.

We had an amazing stay at this hotel, which is situated in a unique location with beautiful views. The breakfast was delicious, and the staff were incredibly helpful, ensuring our transportation needs were taken care of. We especially appreciated our tuk-tuk driver, Ostin, who took us around all the popular spots in Kandy throughout the day. He was very kind, attentive, and went above and beyond to make our experience unforgettable. Highly recommend this place!

“Exceptional”
The place is beautiful and lovely. It is in the hillside over the Kandy city. Staff is superb. They are friendly and very helpful. The pool is very clean and it's good for relaxation. Also, the foods were delicious and the breakfast was good enough and super. Rooms are very clean and comfortable. Altogether, it is perfect. We recommend this nice place.
