Overview
Located amidst rolling green hills and the Madulkelle Tea Estate, this property offers tents with a terrace, a seating area, and en suite bathroom with hot/cold water. Wired internet access is available. The peaceful Madulkelle Tea and Eco Lodge offers a retreat away from the city. It is just a 15-minute walk to Hatale Waterfalls and a 40-minute drive to Knuckles Mountain Range, which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Guests can soak up the sun or take a dip at the outdoor pool. The friendly staff at this Eco Lodge can organise a campfire or a visit to the tea factory. Trekking and day trips can also be arranged. A restaurant is available serving a variety of dishes with organic vegetables, straight from their own garden. The property is 30 km to Kandy Town and 140 km to Colombo City. Colombo International Airport is a 4-hour drive away.

“Absolute must if visiting Sri Lanka”
The most unique experience we had in Sri Lanka. The tent-like rooms were amazing, it was like camping but with all the comfort and needs covered. The view from the tent´s terrace was breathtaking. Absolute peace and tranquility. The infinity pool was very enjoyable and the main lounge-restaurant area was very cozy. The food was absolutely delicious, almost everything was organic, even bread and pastries were freshly baked every morning. Staying amongst tea fields was so beautiful and unique as well. The staff is lovely, incredibly caring and accommodating. The owner of the hotel is usually there and bothers to have a conversation to make sure you are enjoying your stay. You can arrange different types of activities and tours with them. Staying here was one of the best parts of our trip to Sri Lanka. A total must!

“A piece of Heaven!”
Madulkelle Tea and Eco lodge is set on in the mountains north of Kandy, with breath-taking views and a setting that has to be seen to be believed. The accommodation is in tents but these are serious tents, "Out of Africa" style where the shower and toilet within the tent have proper walls. This is not like camping! Both Breakfast and Dinner are fantastic, the restaurant area enjoys these spectacular views and the staff are very attentive without being intrusive or rushed. All the staff were great, paying attention to every detail, from Vinod who helped us with our onward travel plans to young Jayamith who was determined to make everything perfect for us. Thank you all! FYI the accommodation has UK style power sockets in the tents.

The property was stunning. The restaurant, through to the infinity pool, to our accommodation itself. Everything you needed was onsite - we could use the spa, get a massage, play pool, have a great meal( go swimming, play badminton etc…

Beautiful estate with pristine views of the tea hills and Knuckles mountain range. I loved how peaceful it was, the beautiful views at breakfast and that there was a pool. I stayed in a private family tent. It was clean and spacious, and had all the amenities I need.

what an amazing place Madukelle is. Stunning location in the hills, fantastic views over the Tea plantation and we had a guided walk around the Tea factory. Wonderful massages in the huts over a babbling stream listening to the frogs at dusk. make sure you ask for the steam experience after any treatments - super!!! Pool table whilst drinking cocktails was a lovely touch. Great staff and we met the owner who is a fascinating guy with plenty of stories to share!
