We had the most beautiful stay at Kandy Tree Tops.The accommodation was peaceful, spotless, and thoughtfully designed with so many lovely touches throughout. The gardens were absolutely stunning — lush, tranquil, and perfectly maintained, creating such a relaxing atmosphere from the moment we arrived. Breakfast was fresh, delicious, and beautifully presented, with plenty of variety and quality ingredients. Sitting amongst the gardens while enjoying breakfast was a highlight of our stay. The warmth and care from the hosts and staff, made everything even more special. A truly memorable place that we would happily return to and highly recommend.

“Little piece of paradise”

This place is a slice of paradise away from the hustle and bustle of Kandy. The rooms are great, clean, staff very friendly and the breakfast is amazing. I arrived here in the morning after a long flight. The owner welcomed me, served me some light breakfast and helped me plan the day. He also gave me an upgrade, due to the war in Iran, people had cancelled and I asked if I could have a room on the upper floor. In order to get into town, you have to take a tuktuk, but it is so worth it to be a bit away from the city. I highly recommend this place if you come to Kandy.

Fabulous hospitality. We were made to feel so welcome from the moment we arrived. The hosts were truly wonderful with kids and it spoke to their gentle and kind manner. Travelling through Sri Lanka and the breakfast at Kandy Tree Tops still hasn't been bettered, absolutely outstanding!

“What made our stay excellent was the warmth and hospitality of the hosts.”

If we could give this property six stars we would. Our hosts were the most warm and welcoming couple, whose hospitality and kindness touched our hearts. Upul, smiley and softy-spoken, greeted us with tea and brownies, home-baked by his wife Baghya; vivacious, petite, generous - and a supremely good cook. Our rooms - we had two adjoining - were huge and spotlessly clean. Breakfast is served on a covered terrace overlooking the lush tropical garden: the fresh fruit platter, pancakes, omelette and dahl curry sustained us during a busy day sightseeing in Kandy. There’s plenty to see within a short drive: the bustling old town’s central market, the Temple of the Tooth - expect long queues if you want to glimpse the stupa containing the tooth - and traditional Sri Lankan dancing. Our favourite was the Botanical Garden.

Our stay at Kandy Tree Tops was perfect!! Waking up and enjoying breakfast under the gardens and listening to the birds was so peaceful! The staff went above and beyond organising an amazing driver for us and the breakfast was so generous. We were able to enjoy a traditional Sri Lankan breakfast too!

Amazing little oasis tucked out of view. Nice rooms, good value for money, short Tuc Tuc ride into the main places in Kandy. We were only there one night and it was certainly perfect for a stopover. You go through the hustle and bustle of Kandy, travel a few hundred yards off the main road and seem to leave it all behind.

Exceptionally clean and beautiful accommodation. The owner was wonderful…beautiful breakfast beautifully served on the veranda. Absolutely loved staying here. They arranged a wonderful driver to take us to the next venue.

Upul and his staff are incredible hosts, who are some of the friendliest people I have had the pleasure of meeting. The property is beautiful and a lovely escape from the business of Kandy city. An incredible breakfast is provided each day. I would absolutely recommend staying at this property if you are visiting Kandy, we will certainly be back!
