“Incredible value, genuine homestay experience with amazing hosts and unforgettable breakfast!”

We had an absolutely wonderful stay here - this was our favorite guesthouse in Sri Lanka and easily the best value! The room is comfortable, clean and homey with a nice lamp, attached bathroom, WiFi, fan and desk and the house itself is in a nice, quiet neighborhood just a twenty-five minute walk to Kandy Lake. Rienzi and his sister Mercy are marvelous, super professional hosts and incredible cooks! We really enjoyed chatting with two such open minded, thoughtful individuals who evidently relish the opportunity to travel by connecting with visitors from around the world. We were amazed that the abundant, delicious, traditional Sri Lankan breakfasts were included in the stay - we really enjoyed eating all sorts of delicious home cooked food easily adapted to our vegan diet... Mercy is a queen in the kitchen! This was a beautiful, true homestay experience that we super recommend!

Rienzie was a very kind and friendly host. The room was clean and tidy. There is no air conditioning, but I didn’t feel any heat at all — there is a fan which I didn’t even need to use. The room is located in a private house in a quiet area, with no insects or anything like that. Rienzie also prepared a delicious and filling breakfast. A great place to stay for one or two nights. Highly recommended!

“Cozy and affordable stay in Kandy”

We stayed in Kandy for two nights in this lovely house. The two brothers who run it are really kind and helpful and make you feel welcomed in every way. It was really a pleasure to chat with them, taste their dishes and hear their stories. We recommend all travellers who are thinking of spending a few nights in Kandy to stop by here.

We had a very pleasant stay. We appreciated to discuss with the family who is available for the guests. Also, the food is tasty. I fully recommend.

Great choice for staying in Kandy. Rienzie was very welcoming, friendly, talkative and more than helpful with everything. He even cooked me dinner when I arrived in the evening. I also recommend staying at his sisters place in Dambulla if you are heading there.

Rienzi and his sister Merci were amazing hosts! They were so attentive and welcoming, helped me with my trip planning, arranged other part of their family to drive me and accommodate me. Thanks to them I fell in love with Sri Lanka straight away! The meals that Merci cooked were delicious as well.

It was our best stay in Sri Lanka so far! The owners really treat you like a family. They prepared us delicious breakfast and dinner and even considered my special diet. Also, I was able to use their kitchen. Since it was one day before Sinhala and Tamil New Year, we also had a chance to taste some traditional cakes. :) We had some interesting conversations about Sri Lanka's culture and got to know many new facts. There was a mosquito net in the room and the room was very clean and modern.

It was perfect, the hosts are extremely nice and welcoming, the food is very good (you can even cook with them if you like!), it's also quiet and clean. The accommodation is a bit far from the center but there is a direct bus at the end of the street 😊

Both brothers took great care of me. I hurt my knee very bad when falling in the streets of Kandy. Food is very good, there is help with all sorts of travel informations. I can highly recommend staying there.

“Best homestay”

This is truly a homestay, like if you would visit your grandparents. Kind hosts will make sure you're comfy and serve you a good breakfast. Everyone speaks good english. Room is ok, clean, and cozy. Location is on a small road, so no crazy bus honks or noise. There's an electric mosquito repellent in the room. You can also find a garden in the backyard with all sorts of fruits.
