The location on south side of the lake is where all the hotels are, away from the noise of Kandy but a short walk into town.

The hotel is situated in a quieter location, uphill near the lake. The no name restaurant nearby is a nice place to have lunch or dinner. The beds were very comfortable and the hotel is the perfect place to stay when you want to do a hike in Knuckles mountain. We did a 2 day hike and we could leave are bags in the hotel. The lady of the hotel is very friendly. We felt at home.

I have travelled with my daughter and Son & property is in well secure area. The Location is very close to Kandy Lake and Dalada Maligawa was also in walking distance. Room was well Organize. Good hospitality shows from the host. Highly recommended to others.

I stayed here for one Night and I especially liked how friendly and helpful the owner were. You had a nice view across the lake and the rooms were very clean and nice.

Pleasant, thoughtful owner; about a fifteen minute walk from the Folkloric music show at the Red Cross (we took a Tuktuk but that is not necessary, don’t miss the show !); NoName restaurant 200m away is authentic, cheap, wholesome; a fancy and popular rooftop pizza place is across the street. Nice breakfast. Temple of the Tooth very close on foot (about 20 min)

Amazing location, 3rd story balcony attached to our room showed a view of Kandy lake and temple. Room and facilities were very nice, we had a private bathroom. Host was helpful and arranged a private driver for us to continue our travels to Ella. Breakfast was not included in the room price but was offered by the host for extra. It was very nice but maybe slightly expensive. Very good overall!

Clean, location, very nice and helpful host

We loved our stay here..... The property is on a steep hill so if you struggle with inclines (We were OK) I would definitely ask Niluka about the Tuk Tuk service she can provide. The location was perfect for us, five minute walk down to the lake, a lovely stroll (15 minutes) to The Temple of Tooth and to the city centre. Breakfast was lovely (Continental) & plenty of it! The room was big and clean with a very good AC. The bathroom was clean (Slightly dated) & had a powerful shower. Niluka was the most nicest lady and the perfect host!! Nothing was to much trouble.... From sorting out a driver for our day trip to Sigiryia or our Tuk Tuk to the train station. Thank you for an amazing stay! 🙏

Our stay here was truly memorable thanks to the lovely lady who runs the place. She made us feel so welcome and at home from the moment we arrived. Her warmth, kindness, and great conversation added a personal touch that you don’t often find. The two friendly cats were a charming bonus and made the space feel even cozier. It felt less like a hotel and more like staying with a friend. We couldn’t have asked for a better host!

We really enjoyed our stay, also thanks to the great hosts. The room was very spacious and clean and had all we needed. Great breakfast and very good value. The flat is just at short walk from town centre and the lake. Highly recommended

Had a great stay at the Expeditor. Very comfortable lodgings. The walk into the centre of town is lovely along the lake. We organised a Knuckles Mountain trekking day through the hotel (Expeditor Trekking) which was really fantastic - our guide Mervin was a font of knowledge about Sri Lanka and happy to answer our questions about Sri Lankan life and society. The walk itself was beautiful and off the beaten track. We also organised a Three Temples tuk tuk tour with Thuseara who works at the hotel - he drove us to the botanical gardens, three beautiful 750 year old temples just outside Kandy and ended at two beautiful viewpoints looking over the city. He was very friendly and knowledgeable about the temples. The day trips were very reasonably priced too. On our last day we had troubles with our train tickets and the hotel helped us to sort it out and ensured we got a train to Ella. Thanks again for a wonderful stay!

“Excellent”

We had an excellent stay here, the lady who owns the guest house is so lovely. We stay as a family of five and were very well looked after and felt very safe here. The food was lovely and the facilities clean with hot water.
