“A memorable stay with genuinely wonderful hosts”

I had such a great experience staying here and felt completely at ease the whole time. Ranjini and Sena are incredibly warm and thoughtful people who go out of their way to make you feel comfortable. I especially appreciated the little moments, sharing tea, having relaxed conversations and learning more about local life and culture. I felt like I‘m part of the family. The location is slightly outside the busy center which I actually enjoyed. It’s peaceful and comes with a lovely view, while still being easy to reach by tuk-tuk or public transport. The room itself was spacious, spotless, and well-equipped. The food was another highlight, fresh, varied, and clearly prepared with care. I told them about my vegan diet and that was no problem at all. All in all, it was a place I truly enjoyed staying at and leaving wasn’t easy. I’d happily recommend it to anyone planning a visit to Kandy.

“Great time”

I had a wonderful time during my stay. The accommodation is located in a quiet area, just a few minutes from the center by tuk-tuk. The hosts are very kind and helpful, and we had some great conversations. The breakfast is delicious and plentiful. The view over the city is beautiful.

Great location away from the noisy city center but not too far either so access was easy by tuk tuk. Clean rooms with shared balcony. Delicious breakfast and the host was very welcoming and friendly!

Sena and Ranjini were amazing! They made us feel so at home. The views were spectacular from our room and Ranjini made us a wonderful breakfast. The room was great, very clean and cool. Ranjini and Sena even helped us get a tuk tuk into town which was super helpful. It was so great to learn about the history of Sri Lanka from Sena too! We had a fabulous stay and would recommend this home stay to all!

“Amazing place with really kind and welcoming hosts”

Evergreen completely exceeded my expectations! The hosts Ranjini and Sena are really accommodating and kind. Many times they offered me a cup of tea, and I received thoughtful recommendations and learnt about Sri Lankan culture as they were both always up for a chat. It feels as though you are a part of a family when you are staying at Evergreen. Although a bit out of town, you have a beautiful view of the city and can easily get around with PickMe or by bus, plus it only takes around 30-40 minutes to walk into town. The rooms are spacious, clean and the WiFi works very well. The breakfast was a big variety and Ranjini's cooking was amazing. I was sad to leave because I had such a pleasant stay! I would recommend to anyone visiting Kandy.

Really really nice people. The room was super clean and comfortable and the breakfast very tasty. We got there by tuk tuk. Quite hilly, but manageable. I would really recommend this place

“The best place to stay in Kandy”

From the moment I arrived I was welcomed like one of the family. Ranjini is an incredible cook, a lovely person and always made sure I had everything I needed. Sena gave me lots of useful information about travelling in Sri Lanka and how to spend my days. The room was perfect and the bed was extremely comfortable. The location was just a far enough away from the town to feel like an escape, but still walking distance (around 30-40m). I would recommend this place to anyone coming to Kandy.

Room was clean and comfy, the view is amazing and the location is good, nice to be away from the busy Kandy city, the two people that run it are so nice and will go above and beyond to help and treat you like one their family, the free breakfast is really good aswell.

“Sri Lanka nice family house”

It was a perfect family-friendly place; we felt very comfortable and safe throughout our stay. The room was spacious enough for a family. The hosts, Dr. Sena ,his wife and his son thoughtfully considered everything for our comfort and to make it easy to explore the city. At dinner, they gave us a true Sri Lankan experience. We would definitely choose this place again when we come back.

it’s on a hilltop of Kandy, place was very comfortable & clean, hosts are really kind and will make sure you feel right at home. breakfast prepared by Sena was also very delicious, with a lot of love.

“The best kitchen in Sri Lanka”

We're still travelling around Sri Lanka, and yet to find the kind of food we had at Evergreen. Breakfasts and dinners came with a mouth-watering array of side dishes - endless fruits and curried delights! Also, Sagreet, the son was a great help, driving us round to various locations in his free time, including to their doctor to sort out my cough!. If you are looking for the best Sri Lankan cuisine has to offer, then this is definitely the place!

“My recommended stay in Kandy”

I stayed at Evergreen for a total of 3 nights and was warmly welcomed by Sena and his family when I arrived. The accommodation is in a quiet location and is a welcome change from the vibrant city. My room had everything I needed, it was comfy, clean and I had a good night's sleep. There are also seating areas outside the guest rooms with beautiful views of Kandy and the mountains beyond. Breakfast and dinner prepared by Senna‘s wife were always freshly made and absolutely excellent. I always felt welcome, everyone was so helpful and caring. We had many nice conversations. The guide they arranged for me for a hike in the Knuckles mountains was very good, I had a wonderful day. The Evergreen is my first choice in Kandy and I can thoroughly recommend it.

Absolutely lovely people. Couldn't have been more welcoming. The hosts had also arranged transport for us with Indika (who incidentally was a very charming man who provided a professional service). Food provided was great, really enjoyed our chats. Would absolutely recommend Evergreen.

Very nice contact with the hosts. They are a lovely couple who enjoy to get to know their guests. Breakfast was amazing. I would definitely go back. You definitely need a tuk tuk to access the house. We had a driver, so this wasn't a problem.

I really liked the place, it was very nice and peaceful whereas we are in Kandy! There is also a very nice view and we feel directly welcomed, with tea and biscuits ! The people are very nice and they exchanged a lot with us, very interesting talkings and nice family. I enjoyed breakfast very much, one of my favourite in Sri Lanka! I had asked for a Sri Lankan breakfast it was just delicious.
