The Drop Hostel is located in the beautiful hills of Kandy next to the Dharmaraja College. It has an amazing view above the lake, mountains and city of Kandy with stunning sunsets from the balcony. The fan-cooled rooms have beautiful mountain and garden views. They include a wardrobe and an en suite bathroom with shower facilities and towels. Drop Hostel is located in Kandy, 900 metres from Temple of the Tooth (Sri Dalada Maligawa). Featuring a restaurant, it also offers complimentary bicycle rentals and free WiFi access in its public areas. The fan-cooled rooms offer mountain views. “Wonderful experience I had”
The staff gentleman is very kind and helpful. I bought pineapple and need to cut a sclean. He helped me prepared dish, water, knife, and even some salt and Sri Lanka spice. He is so considerate.

“It is what it is”
Very cheap and close to the city. Also a short walk from a supermarket, bakery, and restaurant. Very friendly staff and good free big lockers. Bathroom was decent.

Overall you get what you pay for. The bathrooms are not in a good state and the room has a lot of mosquitoes (though they do provide mosquitoes netting). The staff at the front desk were not particularly easy to communicate with and I did not find them super helpful. The view is amazing at sunset and overall the location is adequate.

Everything was great except the location , if you are looking for a more quiet place this is the place for you , 40 min walk to the main bus stop in Kandy , however personal offers Tuktuka for a fee , the bed was comfortable , as far as cleanliness was concerned it was enough , good for 1 night
