“Simply Outstanding Experience”

Dendrobium House was the absolute highlight of my five-week stay in Sri Lanka — and sadly, two nights there felt far too short. My heartfelt thanks go to Manager Sharm, Dharmasri, Dilshard, Chef Ravinda, Sandeepa, and the entire team. Their exceptional attention to detail made my stay truly unforgettable. Every need was anticipated, and they created such a calm, relaxing atmosphere throughout. The pool setting is simply perfect — an idyllic place to unwind while taking in the magnificent views. Chef Ravinda’s food was outstanding: authentic, fresh, full of flavour, and beautifully presented. I genuinely felt completely and wonderfully spoiled.

Wonderful service from the moment of arrival. Greeted by the incredibly friendly and efficient hotel manager Shaam, and then settled in with a fruit juice and talked through the activities that were available at the hotel by the naturalist Dilshard, who leads or oversees each activity expertly. The morning birdwatching was a particular highlight, and the cooking class with head chef Neel was a great route into Sri Lanka cuisine. Nothing was too much trouble for butler Dharmasri, who was a delight throughout. A truly memorable stay, with exceptional service, at a wonderful property. Thank you to everyone who made it such a fantastic stay, including those behind the scenes I've not named - everyone contributed to a splendid experience.

First of all I would like to thank Mr. Sham, his attitude and help in every situation is beyond the needs. We spent 5 magnifique days at the property and traveling around, it was the most beautiful place we have visited in Sri Lanka. Pictures don’t show the real atmosphere and beauty of this home. So one advice - don’t go there for only 1 or two days! What I like the most comparing to other boutique hotels is that they know when you need something and when you don’t so you don’t feel trapped. The “red” room is worth the extra. And the food - just wow! Thank you

The beauty of the house exceeded all our expectations! Every single detail is well thought out and perfectly placed. It feels like you never want to leave—you just want to stay forever. The staff is incredibly professional, and the breakfast is outstanding, on par with five-star hotels in Paris. The only thing I’m sad about is that we had only two days there. But we already know—we’re coming back next year!

Stunning greenery environment with beautiful Mountain View. Best place I had visited in recent times. Had unforgettable bird watching tour. Food was seven star. Friendly staff. Away from the crowd, it is simply peaceful heaven. Thanks.

Great stay here, spacious room with a great balcony. For dinner they served a 3 course meal, well executed. Location is awesome, the view from the pool over the hills and valleys is wild and it wasn't far to Kandy City which I found a bit hectic, so it was nice to escape back to the more natural setting at the hotel. They had a naturalist here, who took us on a morning walk through the pekoe trail and imparted so much knowledge of the local plant & wildlife. Will definitely stay here again and will recommend to my friends travelling through Sri Lanka.

Dendrobium House is the perfect place to stay in Hanthana. The room and amenities were exceptional. All meals were excellent and incredibly varied. The hotel team was always friendly, patient and helpful. Especially enjoyed the Nature walk!

The place was really mesmerising. And even better was the service, it was what I'd like to exceptional. Great attention to detail. Superb variety in terms of dining as well and the food was great. Will definitely go again! Lastly, the paintings and how the bungalow blended with nature was brilliant in terms of design and aesthetic.
