We really enjoyed our stay at Amandara and the staff were so welcoming and really looked after us (including rescuing a frog from the bathroom!). It was lovely to have so much space to relax in after spending the day in Kandy and the views out were amazing too.

A beautiful find in the hills of Kandy. We had our room upgraded so we had a stunning view of Kandy. The staff were exceptional and available to help at any time for whatever we needed. Kalani, Sampath and Damitha were fantastic throughout our stay! Good location for the view but it is quite high up in the hills which was fine for us as it added to our trip. You’ll need a tuk tuk or car to get up and down but this is easily arranged. Kandy itself was lovely but the hotel made it! Can’t recommend this place enough!

Lovely room, view and pool. The hosts were all so helpful with finding us transport and helping with all our questions. It was nice staying in the hills outside of the main city, more peaceful.

Great experience. The staff make the difference. We arrived in the middle of sri lanka new year with bunch of tired hungry kids and the look after us. It is 10-15 min from kandy city center but handy to get to botanical gardens. Amazing views from the 4 floors villas rooms are big and comfortable. We had a great time

“Great view, outside the busy city”

The hotel is located just outside the busy city life of Kandy. You can reach the city after a 10min drive. The road to the hotel is very steep. Keep in mind that not every Tuk Tuk driver is able to reach this. The breakfast was very good and very tasty. The room we had was super spacious and the terrace provided a great view! The bathroom had some humidity spots around the bath, which is not unprevebtable in this climate. The lady working at the reception was so friendly! She did everything she could for us. We want to thank her for a great stay.

The staff were so friendly and helpful and Kalani helped to book a dinner reservation in Kandy. The view was lovely.

The girl at the reception was super sweet and helpful and went out of her way to provide assistance whenever she could. Our room was of a good size, clean and the shower stayed hot throughout, which was not always the case at other hotels we stayed at on the rest of our trip!

Very helpful and friendly staff. Clean and comfortable. Nice pool (not heated but good enough). They provided driver accommodation FOC. There are reasonably sized fridges in the rooms so we could keep some breakfast food in them and eat it in the dining area.

“Lovely spot up in the hills away from the hussle of kandy.”

Lovely welcome and very peaceful location. Room was clean and good sized. The pool was lovely albeit small. It’s too far to walk from Kandy but not too much to get a tuk tuk. Our host was really helpful and responsive to all our questions and booked us an onward taxi.

We stayed here one night before we went back to the airport. The girl who arranges everything and sits in the lobby is really the sweetest. She helped us arrange the transfer to the airport and was so friendly. The hotel is really clean and has a beautiful view.
