“A truly excellent homestay in Kandy”

Alex and Malka were the perfect hosts. Super friendly nothing was too much trouble. Our breakfasts and evening meals were excellent and we would find it very difficult to fault this lovely homestay. If you are in Kandy this is the place to stay!!

We loved our time in Alex’s home stay, the moment we arrived we were greeted with a welcome drink. Our room was beautiful with steps up to the balcony, and had a beautiful view! There was also a kitchen for us to cook our own dinner which was really nice. Location is close to a big supermarket and bus stop with regular buses and only 30 minute walk from Kandy city centre. Would recommend to anyone, The hosts were super kind and made our stay 💗

“Lovely clean, spacious rooms with beautiful balcony views”

Alex and Malka are amazing hosts and make you very welcome. The rooms are spacious with balconies offering a lovely view of the mountains. The beds are comfortable and showers warm. The breakfast is exceptional and highly recommended. Alex also kindly provided a lift to and from the bottom of the hill as our bus was too long to get up the hill.

I loved staying at Alex Home Stay. The view from the balcony is beautiful, the accommodation is very clean, there is a kettle in the room, excellent breakfast. Most of all though the hospitality from Alex and Malka is very warm without being intrusive. They look after you and help with all logistics. I can confirm the photos are accurate. They organised a couple of trips for me too which turned out well. It was a very good stay and I can happily recommend their place to other travellers.

A really lovely warm welcome into their home and throughout our stay with them! Alex and his wife were amazing in every sense : so very friendly, extremely helpful (from bus routes, places to visit, ordering a TukTuk driver for a full fay tour round Kandy) and just faultless. The property is good situ to Kandy (accessible by local bus or for approx. 400LKR by TukTuk) and the place throughout is clean, comfortable and a great place to stay. Great space, lovely fresh bedding, well presented and a great balcony with views of the city. Gorgeous bathroom facilities, and superb breakfasts!!!!!

The only home that the towels and bed sheets washed in a washing machine and smelling fresh and perfumed clean , Amazing view from balcony Very kind and lovely family Common kitchen with microwave,gas stove and a lot kitchen ware to use, kettle in the room for tea,hot water for shower ,the room smell clean (No mold smell) 650m-1km to Cargill, keels and super center supermarkets

Our hosts were amazingly friendly. The breakfast was delicious and abundant (fresh fruit, omelet, toast, local dishes, juice) and we had lovely chats. They also helped us with tips on how to get around Kandy, and even lend is special socks for leeches to hike in the nearby forest.

The view is incredible, unbelievably clean, the staff are extremely friendly and helpful. Definitely recommend it.

If you’re looking for a truly clean accommodation with a beautiful view, this is the perfect place! Malka was incredibly warm and immediately made us feel welcome. She provided us with information, helped us organize a ride to the train station in the morning, and was always available. There is a fridge, the view is beautiful, and there’s a huge supermarket within walking distance. You can reach the town center in just a few minutes. We can highly recommend this accommodation!

“Lovely homestay with breathtaking views and delicious breakfast”

A beautiful home. Although a little way out of the centre of town, this place is nestled in a lovely little neighbourhood with breathtaking views from the balcony. I felt very well looked after during my stay, particularly at the delicious breakfast (a selection of sweets and juices, jackfruit curry, fried eggs, and more!). Everything was perfect. It’s just a short walk to the main high street, where you can catch a bus up to Sigiriya and Polonnaruwa.
