Overview

These traditional chalets are located in the centre of Kandersteg in the Bernese Oberland, just 800 metres from the ski slopes. All have a kitchenette with a dining area and a balcony overlooking the Alps. Free Wi-Fi is available. Featuring traditional wooden furniture, all apartments at Chalet-Hotel Adler AG include a living room with satellite TV and a Hi-Fi unit with a CD player, as well as a bathroom. Most also have a terrace. Bed linen and towels are provided and shared laundry facilities can be accessed on request. At an additional cost, guests of the Adler Chalets can use the spa and pool area of Chalet Hotel Adler, located right in front of the chalets. Free private parking is available on site.

Beware of the extra costs

So far I have never paid deposit when booking on this platform. Property tax to be paid extra. Parking is not free, 10chf per night. These extra were not informed when booking. Calculations done wrong when asked to check person on counter got upset. System not updated after paying the tax, asked for it again when checking out.

The location is within walking distance from the train station (within 5-10min, with luggage, flat path without stairs). There are buses that stops near the hotel. However, do note that the frequency of the buses are hourly. It is really close to the supermarkets in town and convenient to get our grocery from there. Attractions wise, theee is a direct bus to Blausee (taking only abt 10-15min, hourly frequency) and we can walk about 15min to get to the cable car to Oeschinensee. The front desk staff were friendly and polite! They managed to allow us to check in early and even gave us an upgrade to a bigger apartment. Really thankful for these thoughtful measures! That aside, the check in and out process were really quick and without fuss! The apartment is spacious and well-furnished. Kitchen wares are sufficiently provided. Bathroom amenities (towels and all-in-one shampoo/body wash) were also provided. Bathroom water heater and spray power were good too! (Just take note that the water heater doesn't seem to work in the early morning but they do get warm by about 7am). The beds and pillows were to our liking and comfort. The blanket and the room heating are sufficient that we do not feel cold in the room. The balcony overlooks the mountains and the Kander stream/river. It is just the perfect stay!

Great stay, lovely location and chalet.

Apartment in Hotel Grounds.

Convenient to have the chalet situated within the hotel grounds. Ideally sited to take advantage of everything Kandersteg has to offer. And no distance from the railway station.

the location was fab the area of the apartment was good - not very spacious but not very crowded too the sound of the waterfall added to the beauty supermarket was just 60m away

The location is about 1 hour drive from Interlaken. There is a train station behind with about 5 mins walking distance. The area is nice, cool and excellent.
