A 30 minute walk from the Geisha district but only a 5 minute walk from the train station. The Japanese breakfast was delicious. Very cozy vibe.

The host waited for us to arrive at the cafe and came out to meet us and take us to the hostel: she was very kind. The hostel was close to the centre of town but very quiet; also convenient for the train station.

The location is perfect. The Japanese breakfast was amazing. The 4 persons dormitory is very comfortable and quiet (depending on the persons you share your room with).

Super attentive staff - he helped us with our car that had broken down for almost an hour! On top of that the room was very cute and had lots of amenities other places don’t include like straighteners, make up cleanser. There was also free omeshu at the bar! Would definitely stay here again

“Amazing place in Kanazawa”

Location is amazing, just a few blocks away from Kanazawa station and in a road full of izakayas and bars and walking is like 15' away from the geisha and samurai districts. We could have some special drink for free too in the place. The ambience is cozy and warm and they allowed me to keep my luggage on the place after check-out. I would for sure return to this place

“Small, comfortable hostel in a quiet street near the station”

This beautifully decorated hostel is small but contains everything you need for a comfortable stay. As well as the free tea and coffee, a flask of plum wine was replenished every day. Local craft beers and snacks were also available for purchase (honesty box). There is also a wide array of guide books in English. Our room was very spacious with comfortable mattresses on a wooden deck. We also had a small fridge and shower room.

Ours was a last minute booking and it was super easy. Staff were very responsive and accommodating. Room was spacious and very clean and had all the little details that made our stay super comfortable and enjoyable.

Good location and beds, worth the money I paid

Such a great find! We started out in Kanazawa in a hotel, but when I found the Sharin, and discovered they had bike rentals, I booked 2 days there as well. A cute inn in an historic, walkable neighborhood, just a few blocks from a local food market (which I've found rare to find so far in Japan). The owner wasn't there when we arrived, but he had an associate from his other property meet us and show us around. They both spoke English, so that was helpful indeed. Taka (the owner) made sure to always have lovely/fun/enjoyable music playing in the background and we had access to a refrigerator, toaster oven, and microwave. Our private room with wood floors (on the second floor) was fabulous! Larger than most rooms in a hostel type stay, with great lighting and a window that opens for fresh breezes. The room had it's own shower and the toilet and sink were just outside the door. He also thoughtfully placed various skin lotions, etc, for use at the sink. As there was only one other room on that floor and no one was staying in it, we had the whole thing to ourselves and also enjoyed the company of those staying in the dorm rooms while we hung out in the communal area downstairs, which had a cozy table I made much use of and bar seating. The bar area wasn't open during our stay, so we had the whole thing to ourselves. Loved that they thoughtfully included a little front porch seating area as well. The coziest of stays, I wished we could have stayed longer. In fact, I would live there! It turned out that the bike was great fun as well.

The pod was super clean and comfy and the staff couldn't have been more helpful. There is a small bar on site and they have another slightly larger outdoor bar and cafe just a few meters away. Everything you need all there. Excellent value and an easy walk to the station with good buses to everywhere and a 7/11 cafe and arm a short walk away.

Everything is good ! Best place to stay in Kanazawa. Their related hostel nagonde guest house is also good if this is full. Owner taka is very helpful and honest, and local born in Kanazawa. Facility is clean with WiFi and staff will attend to all your needs and suggested many good places.

Excellent location, very close to the train station in a street with plenty of places to eat and a nice Japanese style

Looks like a little bit hippie accomodation but very comfortable, clean and cozy. Japanese style with tatami and futon beds. The host was very sympathetic and nice. The location was excelent, near the train station and close to the castle and Kenroku-en garden. We spend there just one night. Reccomend to go to Uchinada beach in the late afternoon. You can see wonderful sunset over the sea there and also can swim.
