“A Wonderful and Unforgettable Stay”

The guesthouse is a beautiful traditional building, perfect for those who would like to experience local life. Chiyo welcomed us warmly and made us feel as if we were part of her family. The room was extremely clean, well furnished, and comfortable. Everything you might need is available at the guesthouse. There is also an opportunity to experience the art of Mizuhiki by creating a traditional knot that you can take home as a souvenir. Overall, our stay was wonderful. Everything was perfect, and we would highly recommend this guesthouse to anyone visiting Kanazawa. We will definitely stay here again when we return.

The guest house was absolutely gorgeous. The room was beautiful and spacious, the futon was comfortable, and the shared bathrooms and sinks were really practical and quite private, which is difficult to achieve. Chiyo-san was incredibly welcoming: she was accommodating to our arrival time, showed us the whole place, and chatted with us for a bit. Highly recommend this guest house for anyone visiting Kanazawa!

Beautifully appointed machiya with a lovely garden in the central space. Building is a lot bigger than the pictures imply. Spacious tatami sleeping areas. Common bath areas were clean and spacious too. Close walking distance to a number of interesting boutiques and f&b spots as well as tatemachi street

We had a wonderful stay in Kanazawa. The host was very welcoming and made us feel comfortable from the moment we arrived. Communication was smooth, clear, and efficient throughout, which made everything easy. The place itself was beautifully designed, with a thoughtful interior that created a relaxing atmosphere. One of the highlights was definitely the view — it added something special to the overall experience. All in all, a great stay that we would happily recommend to others.

Beautiful guesthouse with wonderfully restored architecture. The room with the balcony is gorgeous. Location was close to many of the sites while remaining an authentic residential neighborhood.

We loved everything about our stay here. The room and common space were quite aesthetically pleasant and we enjoyed the little balcony overlooking the garden. If you're looking to stay in a traditional Japanese guest house with elevated taste this is the place. The recommendations for cafes and restaurants nearby were also wonderful. We had already booked Respiracion and Tsubajin prior to our booking but had not chosen the rest of the restaurants we wanted to try. Of the recommendations we went to Spice Stand Suishun for curry and craft beer, MONET for brunch and got some baked goodies at Shintate. There's lots to choose from nearby and lots of recommendations were provided, all three of which that we went to were wonderful. The location was super convenient and we'd love to book again next time in Kanazawa.

Favourite place of our stay! Absolutely beautiful evening if we had to share the bathroom and shower, we never really had to wait. The house is gorgeous ajd peaceful and the bed very confortable.

We stayed at this lovely place for just one night, but everything exceeded our expectations. The house is a beautifully preserved traditional Japanese home, and the futons were incredibly soft and comfortable. The host was also wonderful! Thank you so much!

We loved staying with Chiyo-San! We had our luggage sent and when we arrived it was already brought to our room. The room itself was spacious & located on the first floor of the machiya and we had a great view into the courtyard. The shared bathrooms had all you needed and the little tub reminded of onsens in Hakone. The tea area and provided tea and coffee were a plus too. Chiyo also probides a lot of care ans sent us infos about a local coffee event. #trustmeIamGerman
