“Cosy Kanazawa Homestay”

Super friendly and helpful host! Spotlessly clean room and facilities. Location is in downtown Kanazawa, but no more than a twenty minute stroll to all the sights or 2 mins to share bike parking. Supermarket and convenience stores 5 minutes away, and izakayas just round the corner. You are living in someone's house, so the accomodation is intimate and on the smaller size, but considering price and location, this is great value for money, especially if you are a solo traveller looking to experience Kanazawa as it really is. This is basic accommodation, don't be fooled,, but it is done really well.

The localisation is really good, close to touristic areas by foot, and easy to access by bus from the Kanzawa station. The owner is lovely and welcoming :)

Homely feel, friendly owner and dog, warm house , amazing location

A small, cozy place in a peaceful location near Kanazawa's main tourist attractions. It's only a two-minute walk from the Right Loop bus stop. The host is kind, and there's an adorable, friendly dog. While it is not ideal for those seeking classic hotel-type amenities, it's perfect for experiencing the traditional Japanese way of life. The toilet and shower are shared but clean, modern, and comfortable.

Beautiful experience in a local house

This was one of the highlights of my whole trip, such a lovely and cozy house! The owners are so kind and the shiba Gao is very cute! Especially if you have breakfast 😉

Nice stay at the guesthouse, with attentive hosts and a cute dog Gao. You are staying in a guesthouse/ sharehouse so expect shared facilities, but everything is well explained & the japanese tatami rooms are quite nice

Lovely small homestay in a traditional family home in Kanazawa, the kind couple who hosted us was so kind and their house was lovely and spotless. Gao-chan, their cuddly and friendly Shiba Inu is a wee cutie and a bonus for a pet loving family. We were 5 in total and were given three traditional tatami rooms, so we had the whole place to ourselves and the owners. The landlord cooks, upon request, a tasty savoury and sweet breakfast which is excellent and value for money. The landlady is a special person too and she gave us beautiful handmade parting gift upon checkout.

It felt like home and the breakfast was delicious.

The hosts Soku and Yoneda along with the wonderful Shibu 🐶 dog Gao were so kind and their little home spotlessly clean and Soku's breakfast delicious! Close to many areas of interest too!

Great place to stay. The room was clean and comfy with traditional tatami flooring and a futon. Tried the breakfast once, it was tasty and only 300 yen. The coin washing machine and dryer were handy. The owners are very friendly. Also quite close to the Higashi Chaya teahouse district and a walking distance from the city centre. There was also a bus stop nearby.

Wonderful location - we walked everywhere: geisha district, restaurants train station etc. Lovely simple breakfast. Very kind hosts. And GAoo the doggo was very well behaved.

Hosts were super friendly. Location for RL3 bus stop was perfect! Breakfast was great VFM. Tatami beds very comfortable. Gao the dog was gorgeous!
