Beautiful, quiet place with lovely hosts! Tasty local food and i had opportunity to take part in ongoing Harvest Festival during my stay, that was held in the accommodation!

It was close to the hot springs

Jay the host was most considerate and friendly. He dropped us off in Poring for dinner and in the morning to catch our minibus. The lodging was basic but priced fairly compared to the other alternatives

The lodge is set in nice gardens surrounded by countryside just 20 minutes walk from the gates of the Poring Springs Park. It's a lovely area for birders. Jay and his family were really helpful, and were always available and happy to help with any issues, from transport to takeaway orders. Great place to stay.

“A pleasant place to relax and visit the area.”

Jay and his parents, Jeannie and Mr. Chua, welcomed us and invited us for delicious fried bananas when we first arrived and also invited us for a tasty farewell breakfast. We enjoyed talking and visiting with them very much. A very hospitable family. We ordered takeout dinners and Jay offered to get them when the takeout was too busy to bring them. Their property has lovely trees and gardens and waterways with fish. There is a large covered deck with eating area, kitchen area and refrigerator. We enjoyed the 20 minute walk to Poring Hot Springs along a small pretty road with bananas, cocoa, palms etc growing. We also enjoyed the walk down to the river. Our room was basic but clean and serviceable with air conditioning. We spent 4 nights here and felt very much at home.,

The hosts were absolutely lovely, they went above and beyond to help us and kept us company in the evening with some fresh homemade tea. The whole property is beautiful and interesting.

-Jay and his family were very welcoming, helping us with ordering in dinner, bringing us to the hot springs in the morning (saving a 10-12 min walk), sharing fruit from the garden, and even driving us (for a fee) to our next destination on Sabah -Local experience with the family closeby and friendly, while at respectful distance -Location close to the hot springs and with a few shops and restaurants in 10-12 min walk -Spacious house with 3 bedrooms one of which had aircon

Lovely, helpful and very friendly family with an interesting and different type of place and grounds. It rained the night we stayed so we ordered a take away and sat in the reception area eating, playing cards and watching the bats and geckos feeding on the glut of insects attracted by the lights. We really enjoyed our stay.

Wonderful hospitality by the owner and the family. Surround by sounds of nature and beautiful garden surrounding the property. I stayed in a dorm so the room is basic and its cheap. But they have a much upgrade private rooms options as well

“It was a nice stay for me... because lucky enough to be alone in my dorm”

Jay is friendly and his parents are very friendly, talkative and offering me regularly fruits : papaya, fried bananas (pisang goreng), durian... lovely. I was lucky : I've been alone in my dormitory, so it was like a private room. The area is beautiful, views on the Mont Kinabalu are fantastic and the Poring hotsprings are nearby. Low price.

Location PERFECT for myself as about 1km outside small township area with restaurants , and as a bird watcher I got some lovely rural walks. Lovely hosts, very willing and keen to give free rides there and back if required.

Great homestay in a beautiful part of Sabah. Nice garden with fishponds and an eclectic collection of rooms. The host was very friendly and made us feel right at home. Great base to explore the national park and the hot springs. The rooms are simple but adequate.
