The staff are so welcoming, kind, and friendly, the food is amazing, and the location is beautiful. It is truly a little haven off the beaten track.

“Definitely Coming Back!”

Monika and her team were lovely... The food was really good too! I enjoyed the fried squid with pepper! If you are too lazy to go out, the common area is conducive for lazing around in the hammocks... Monika was not only very friendly and helpful to the guests at RETRO, but even to my friend who was putting up at another hostel, and merely joined me for the kayaking session. It's not too near the city.. but that's really the way I like it... The sound of crickets... birds chirping... roosters crowing... Tuk tuks are easily available or if you are adventurous enough, motorbikes are available at 6USD a day. They are not too strict with the check-in time so if the room is already available before the official check-in time, they will let you check-in. Oh... Lets not forget the fat cat with an attitude... Haha so so so so adorable!

The staff were so hospitable and kind, always bringing a cold glass of water whenever we got back and being incredibly helpful. The guesthouse was in a beautiful location a bit outside of town, very peaceful and luscious! Also, we were fed so much homegrown mango, it was sensational ☺️

An amazing place to stay. There were free kayaks available and very easy and reasonably priced scooter hire. The women running the place were so lovely and always provided us free fruit and wafers whenever we sat down in the communal area. The room was super cozy and had three fans for comfort. There was also a hammock on the balcony overlooking the river. Highly recommend this stay

What a lovely welcome from the staff team, not only on our arrival but each time we got back from exploring. Such a treat to be surrounded by the beautiful gardens, get access to free kayaks and to have fresh fruit with every meal.

AMAZING! Room was lovely, the people workinh there so sweet and helpful, and the food at the restaurant delicious! Its location is perfect next to the river and you can rent a scooter for 6$ per day to discover Kampot and its surroundings.

Beautiful bungalow by the river. Super easy motorbike rental. Food was cheap and tasty. The staff were amazing and couldn’t do enough for us, 10/10

“Don't hesitate, mangrove forest perfection awaits!”

Absolutely adored this place. Don't hesitate to book. The rooms are clean and super comfortable, the staff are so so kind and will do anything to make your stay comfortable, and the location is nestled away in the mangroves. You can take a kayak for free whenever you want, and the food is homemade and delicious. Highly recommend the rice soup, one of my favourite dishes in Cambodia. Thank you for your kind welcome and for having us in your beautiful guesthouse!

Garden bungalow with river view was lovely. Relaxing place with friendly and warm staff who really went out of their way to make guests comfortable.

The staff was welcoming and helpful, the food was great and we were able to enjoy the kayaks at green cathedral.

The hotel has a lovely well kept rustic feel to it. The staff were very nice and impeccably helpful. It is situated right on a river where you can going kayaking for free - I would recommend paddling down the river and going on a mini bar crawl :P One of my favourite stays in SE Asia. Would recommend

“Relaxing friendly place with great food and staff”

Located outside of the city by a little creek with free kayaks to use. Really helpful with tours. Lovely little bar at directly opposite the lane with sunset views of the river and hills beyond. Delicious food with generous portions at the guesthouse. Laundry. Couldn’t fill up your water enough while you had your food. Women led resort and all very friendly. Loved the hammock on our terrace for afternoon naps. Highly recommend visiting Sabay beach restaurant up the road for higher end cocktails and delicious food with more sunset views. Tuk tuk waiting at the end of the lane so always quick for the grab app.
