Went next door to the Montage Boutique & wow what a difference. It was perfect ie: courteous staff & exceptionally clean & bright room.

“Windowless Room very Stuffy”
This hotel is cheap and priced about right. The main issue was that I booked a Deluxe room as advertised and when I checked in the reception advised that I had a standard room without any windows. I showed the booking and she acted as if I should have known the room had no windows. There is nothing in the description about these rooms not having any windows. If I had know it was a windowless room I would never have booked it. They are sneaky and clearly hiding this fact in their listing, so I give it zero stars and will never stay there again. I don't like being cheated like that. If the rooms don't have WINDOWS then make that very clear in the advertising instead of hiding the fact then pretending like I somehow should know this. Very dishonest. The room was dark and stuffy with no ventilation except for the a/c and door to the hallway.

“Decent hotel with nice staff.”
Nice staff, big, spacious and clean room. Close to the train station. The hotel has 2 pools but we didn’t have time to try them.

We actually stayed at the Montagne Guest House, it's entrance being on the main road into Kampot. but our room was located more to the rear of the property; no traffic noise. Breakfast is taken in the main part of the hotel complex ( Montagne Residence ) a two minute walk from the guest house. The morning breakfast is served from 7.00am to 10.00 and was excellent ; a choice of either Asian or American. The two swimming pools are also located in this section of the complex. No problems.

Nice room with comfortable bed and balcony. The pool area was really nice and great to cool off after a hot day. Breakfast which was included was quite good with lots of options.

“Nice rooms but far out of town”
Spacious modern room, comfortable bed, large balcony with a mountain and sunset views. Nice pool to use at Montagne Residence. Staff tried hard tho there was limited English spoken.

“Pleasant enough with deluxe connection to swimming pool”
I liked my room, it was quite spacious and the bed was comfortable. The balcony outside was pleasant and roomy too. The best part though was the connection to the grander hotel next door with its excellent swimming pool and beautifully appointed lobby. Very swish. Also worth a mention, staff member Kin who doubles as a tuk tuk driver and speaks ok English. Helpful guy for getting round town even though I didn’t book his tours further afield.
