The hotel was amazing and exceeded our expectations. They have a TukTuk contact who is amazing, San. He will take you around Kampot and Kep, and he was very informative and knowledgeable about local history. 10/10 would recommend his services and the hotel to anyone.

“Tropical art deco paradise”

Exquisite hotel. Incredibly friendly and personable staff. Lovely facilities - there was nothing quite like the afternoon gin club in the beautiful restaurant surrounded by luscious plants as the rain is falling into the pool and garden. With our rate we received breakfast included each day, and it was hands down the best hotel breakfast we had throughout our trip in Cambodia Laos. I genuinely looked forward to it every morning. Hotel is very centrally located and a very short walk to all the main restaurants, markets, cafe's, the river etc. Rooms are modestly sized but very nicely appointed. I love the tropical art deco theme being carried throughout the hotel. This hotel felt like our sanctuary during our time in Kampot. It is probably the first hotel bar where I've generally wanted to linger and while away the evening as the space and staff were so charming. Highly recommend.

“Perfection.”

The loveliest hotel I’ve stayed at in many years. The kindest staff, the sweetest cats, and glorious accommodation. The restaurant serves exquisite food and drinks. And the tours arranged by the hotel were exceptional. I would visit Kampot again just to have another spell in this wonderful hotel ❤️

“Gorgeous art deco hotel ♡♡♡ love love love!”

An absolutely gorgeous hotel. So classic, it felt like being in Grand Hotel (1932), but also had a very comfortable and relaxed atmosphere. The staff are really kind and helpful, the food is delicious, and the pool offers such a refreshing respite to the sometimes oppressive heat of outside. The rooms are spacious, and the beds are huge and very comfortable. Perfect after an overnight bus ride. (They were also very accommodating regarding early check in - we felt very well taken of.) Would very happily stay here again. Was like a dream!

“Our best stay in SE Asia”

A fantastic stay at the Hotel Old Cinema. We liked it so much we extended our stay twice! The owners have lovingly restored and renovated this beautiful art deco building to create a luxurious and welcoming space. The swimming pool was a peaceful place to relax away from the bustle of Kampot. The bar was very well stocked, the bar staff, knowledgeable and attentive, Pov in particular. The food served in the hotel from breakfast to dinner was by far the best food we sampled in Kampot and well worthy of its five star reviews. The hotel staff helped organise drivers and trips during our five days in the area. Kayaking, Pepper farms, crab markets, restaurants, and more. Gilly had exceptional knowledge of the local area and her suggestions ensured that Kampot was one of our favorite places to stay in Southeast Asia.

Beautiful boutique style hotel who used local artists for decor and design. A quaint, funky, artsy vibe and gorgeous lush plants in the rooms, balconies, and courtyard. They incorporated the history of the cinema into their style. The staff were absolutely fabulous! Very engaging and informative. Wonderful service all around. There were two adorable kitties who lounged around with us as well! If we were ever in Kampot again, we'd love to go back!

This hotel is truly a special place and definitely stands out. Its location is excellent – very close both to the riverside promenade and the GIANT IBIS bus stop, making it extremely convenient for getting around. The property itself is absolutely beautiful and unique, with stunning decorative details on the doors and beds, all handcrafted by the co-owner, which adds a very personal and artistic touch. The bed was exceptionally comfortable. Breakfast was very good, with à la carte options to choose from. Additionally, the kitchen is outstanding – every single dish I ordered was absolutely delicious and beautifully presented. The quality of the food is truly remarkable. What impressed me the most, however, was the exceptional level of service. The staff delivered an outstanding hospitality experience, making the stay even more memorable.

Gilly was superb. Nothing was too much trouble. The ladies in the bar / kitchen were class and funny. The vibe is great. Lovely room. Great breakfast.

“Truly classy and unique stay at an elegant Art-deco hotel.”

The breakfast was divine (I had scrambled eggs) and the menu is diverse enough for any taste. The Art-deco decor is classy and top-notch, from plush towels to an amazing mattress, such a comfy sleep for us. We also had a free upgrade. The staff are all amazing, courteous and super hospitable. The bar selection of both drinks and food in the evening is plentiful and the food is freshly made.
