Loved how close it was to the beach and the pool was lovely, really clean and well kept. The photos definitely didn’t do it justice.

The location was excellent and the staff are wonderful. The restaurant food was good.

The resort offers a bit of pool time and beach time and the food at the restaurant was always fairly good! Very comfortable beds and the TV had movies installed which kept the kids happy during downtime!

We booked this place as it seemed cleaner and safer than other options currently available. Tioman island is beautiful and the property enjoys a great stretch of the beach. Having said that, the value proportion for the price you’re paying is not there. 1) The rooms are over priced, but the amenities like valley ball, ping pong, kayaks etc make the property enjoy a monopoly. 2) Completely avoid the massage - over priced as the professionals are not trained. It was random with respect to technique, i went with my partner. The lady doing my message was not trained, while she was well behaved and trying her best you can see the staff is really not trained but they’re super quick to charge premium without value proposition. My body hurt not due to pressure but die to pulling and tugging. My partners masseur was constantly burping, laughing and passing comments. There was tea in the end that was not even offered just because we booked last slot. 3) Snorkelling: locals were nice, snorkelling was fun but COMPLETELY unethical. Fish were being fed a lot of nuggets and food for them to fight and compete for it, so you may feel accomplished but that’s not cool as it is not a sustainable way for marine. A guy from my boat put a fish nugget on my skin for 5 seconds - i was confused and it led to the fish biting me and my skin breaking out with some blood coming out. Will Barat take responsibility if i catch an infection? I complained to the person at the recreation centre who was understanding by the face of it but I absolutely never heard back. It hurts to see such lack of consent, immature behaviour that they don’t take accountability for since i was told by “Yan” that person is not from barat but a local person. They are sitting in a BARAT 3 boat as a coach and they’re present for us when i book through BARAT. Will such a place take responsibility should an emergency situation arise? NO. So even if you tell them during trip they will not fix anything.

The beach is nice, clean and kids friendly. The snorkeling tour was great. Food is fair.

There’s no hot water for the jacuzzi in our sea front family room. I specifically chose this room for the jacuzzi with ocean view so a big disappointment🥲

My package did not include breakfast, but overall, my stay at The Bharat was very satisfying. I originally booked a Superior Room, but the staff kindly upgraded me to a Deluxe Room. All the facilities were excellent. You can rent bicycles and e-bikes, there are swings, and many recreational activities can be enjoyed here. Will definitely be back!

“Friendly hotel right on Juara Beach”

Room was spacious, modern and clean. Amazing location right on the beach. Pool was great to use as well. Staff were really friendly. The reception staff upgraded us on arrival, Sharif and the maintenance team helped out with any questions we had and the boat trip crew that took us snorkelling were great.

However, Wi-Fi can be slow at times. Overall, The Barat Tioman is a fantastic choice for a peaceful island retreat.
