We stayed for 2 nights at Phalla Riverside and had a wonderful experience. The owner, Thomas, is incredibly kind and helpful – he assisted us with everything we needed right away and made us feel very welcome. The accommodation is located a little outside the city center, but this is easily solved by renting a scooter directly from Thomas at a very good price. In fact, the slightly more remote location is a big advantage – it's very peaceful and quiet, which makes for a perfect night's sleep. One of the highlights is the beautiful tropical garden in the courtyard. It's an ideal place to relax and also a great spot to escape the heat and sun – it always felt pleasantly there. Thank you, Thomas, for a great stay! If we return to Kampong Cham, we will definitely stay here again.

Love the garden ,full of plants and very large area to relax,sit and experience the quiet. Also loved the setting in the town/village. Staff super friendly and helpful.

Provide a motor bike for renting, all good. Rooms are large 20sq, confortable bed, hot shower, nice rooftop. Thomas, the owner is very nice and helpful. Speaks good french and english.

Thank you Thomas for making my stay at your place unique and comfortable. I rented a scooter from him and enjoyed breakfast and dinner at Phalla Riverside. Upon request he also organizes bus tickets or Tuk Tuk.

“The very good, the bad and the ugly.”

The fascade of the rear building, and the rear patios (with greenery and furniture) are quite beautiful and very relaxing. Thomas - the host - went out of his way to be helpful, find a tuk-tuk into town, provide lots of relevant information, etc.

“Fun, friendly and serene”

friendly hosts. Thomas is an interesting, curious man who with his lovely wife and family have created a beautiful paradise. The well maintained gardens, ( check out the highest point) and extensive seating areas are very relaxing. Thomas is only to happy to book travel or provide motorcycle or bicycle for hire. Breakfast great, Delicious local food available thru extended family across the road. I am a tea drinker and loved hot water available in large thermos’s.

“Lovely property”

Beautiful property, approximately 20 mins walk out of town. Room was clean and the garden with lots of plants was fabulous. There is a local market just around the corner. Host was very helpful and will assist with all transportation.

Lovely area within the local community and not as far away from Kratie as I thought. The lady who has built this business literally from scratch in the village area she grew up in is so helpful and happy to chat about her childhood and life in general. Would definitely return.

Welcoming and comfortable. We loved the fabulous garden, the shared kitchen and the spacious bedroom. The bed was comfortable and the room was quiet, so we slept very well. There were mosquito screens on the windows and although there was no AC, the combination of the ceiling and the standing fan was more than up to the job of keeping us cool. We loved the friendly shops and food places around the village and the friendly local tuk tuk driver to take us places. We were sorry to leave, we'd love to return.
