Although we have been going to Crete for many years, this was the first time we went back to the same house simply because we feel it is one of the best accomodations you will find. The house is equipped with everything you could possibly need, including beach towels. The location is so private and peaceful, and just a few minutes walk into the centre of Kamilari. The spectacular beach of Komos is a ten minute drive away. But what makes Spiti tou Papa really special is Ioanna. She welcomes all her guests with authentic Greek hospitality, preparing treats and making sure you are looked after. You arrive as a guest and leave as a friend.

I am actually reluctant to write this review because I would like to keep this place a well-kept secret. We have been coming to Crete for many years and I can safely say this is the best accomodation we have ever stayed in. Our house was totally independent with a beautiful garden among the olive trees. It had absolutely everything you could possibly need in it and was sparkling clean. Kamilari itself is a lovely location because it has managed to keep an authentic Greek feel to it. But what makes To Spiti so special is the amazing hospitality all the guests receive from Ioanna and her family. In fact, you are made to feel like part of the family yourself, looked after and spoilt throughout your stay. Thank you Ioanna for an unforgettable holiday.
