Overview
Offering 7th-floor hot-spring baths with mountain views, a karaoke bar and a buffet restaurant, The spacious rooms have Western beds and a Japanese-style seating area. Rooms at Choyo Tei Hotel are air-conditioned and include a Yukata robe, an electric kettle with green tea and a section with tatami (woven-straw) flooring. Each room comes with an en suite bath with bathtub. A 25-minute taxi ride from JR Kamikawa Train Station, the hotel is a 5-minute walk from Daisetsuzan Sounkyo Ropeway cable car and a 10-minute drive from Ryusei no Taki Waterfalls. It is a 2-hour drive from JR Asahikawa Train Station and provides free parking. You can relax with a massage or unwind at the sauna when not soaking in the rooftop hot-spring bath. Duty-free shopping is available at on-site shops. Japanese, Western and Chinese dishes are available at the breakfast and dinner buffets. A coffee lounge and Japanese-style pub are on site.

“Good buffet spread and very friendly staff”
The room was very clean and the view from my room was awesome. The breakfast and dinner spread was really good. There are ample parking spaces and is free. Location is very good... walking distance to the ropeway.

“Good escape from city life”
Multiple onsen to pick, buffet is good, there is also bus provided to transport us to the sounkyo ice festival venue, most importantly there is free sake :D

Good location, good breakfast and dinner, good staff, easy to get to, Onsen was a plus! Easy check-in, Shuttle bus to the Ice festival. I requested a fan because it was very hot in the room, and I got it. There is a cute souvenir shop on the second floor & bingo! Great parking. Amazing front desk staff. Lots of elevators, so you never have to wait!

The location was perfect and the staff at check-in were friendly. The room was quite big and the bed was comfortable. They had a free shuttle bus to the snow festival.

The location is perfect. It is inside the park, within walking distance to the ropeway, little village and some hiking. I like my Japanese-style room. The staff is very friendly and helpful.
