It's a great hotel. It makes Japanese culture feel completely. It has a great atmosphere. I especially loved the fish and acansu. The employees were very interested and caring.

The Onsen pools were extensive and in a very beautiful nature forest setting. Also the staff really went above and beyond to coordinate the shuttles as the location is a bit far for Kyoto sightsee-ing, but we came for the traditional Ryokan and that it was - with great meals and facilities!

The property has no surrroundings so if you need a drink or any food ensure to take thos with you

The overall impression is that this is a high quality hotel. Room, food, onsen, staff, the area around, everything is top quality.

Beautiful facility, though a bit dated. Very limited shuttle hours but the driver was AMAZING and helpful and kind. Decor is tasteful and design is well thought out. Traditional Japanese rooms are lovely despite being dated, could use a refresh and better cleaning. In-room onsen was very nicely done.

Our room was very very spacious and comfortable and the outside area with the private onsen was gorgeous. The location and the rest of the property were also very peaceful. This was the perfect night of relaxation and refreshing at the halfway point of our trip around Japan.

“A little getaway to relax for singles or couples”

Right when I checked in, the staff was so welcoming. I was so stressed trying to find the place (and from getting off the airport, etc) and arriving at the Onsen was calming. It’s a traditional Japanese hotel (option to sleep in a Japanese bed or standard bed), the bathrooms were immaculate, and the onsen itself was not crowded so perfect for me. I had breakfast and for one person, it’s a lot of food (I traveled alone) but the food was amazing. It was the best place to stay in the hotel and nothing else. A little spa/sleep session to take a break from all the traveling. Once you check out, they also provided transportation to the nearest train station :)
