Without a doubt one of our favourite places we ve stayed during our time in Namibie!Upon arrival we were warmly welcomed by Rudi and Riekie and had a lovely surprize . The staff was extremely friendly , excellent hospitality and they deserve a special thanks. We had a wonderful stay in this beautiful part of Namibie , which added to our fantastic experiences

“Relaxing stay in comfy beds”

After five nights camping this was a welcome oasis. We all really enjoyed the pool, beds and food. Able to plug our fridge in and also get some clothes laundered. It was great just to unwind and look out at the scenery. Really good value for money. Staff lovely and happy to sort the 'donkey' so we could have hot water for showers before dinner and breakfast.

Really nice place & clean. The team is really nice, the food is excellent. But the thing that I liked the most is the pillows, sheets and duvet. They spent the price for you to have a very good night. The quality of the rooms and all the little details are there : the kettle, the glass and even the little old style lamp. We really see that they take care of their quests and they are serious about it. Bravo !

Rudi the Manager was really great! Loved the location, slept in one of the tents and had delicious dinner. In the afternoon we enjoyed drinks at the pool... Fabolous!

Johann was a wonderful and extremely thoughtful host. He has an immense knowledge of the region and his country. Having conversations with him is extremely interesting and enriching. The place itself is wonderful. Make sure you stay at least 2 nights there to enjoy it at the fullest. I highly recommend it! See you in 2 years, Johann 😊

“lovely place, even lovelier hosts!”

situated on the (dry) Huab river about 40km south of Kamanajab, a good 8km track off the well-graded main gravel road. East access even for a 2-WD … and if you ever got stuck, SJ will pull you out! but it won’t happen! lovely choice of (VIP-) tented or timber lodges.

We definitely need to come back! Our hosts did everything to make us feel like home and more! Actually, we felt like being part of the family! Thanks for everything and cheers to your friends from RSA! ;-) You cannot get closer to nature, than having your morning cup of coffee in front of your tent, while springbocks and other game are passing by just a few meters away. Unfortunately we did not see any elephants, but that's nature. Strong recommendation to stay there for a couple of nights!!

“A fabulous venue, lovely to relax in, but also lots to do too”

The lodge is set 8km from the road, and is an oasis. the setting is beautiful ; the staff very friendly and efficient; the accommodation was very comfortable and clean. The food was incredible, and the delicious daily set menu was tweaked to suit my dietary needs - they are very happy experimenting with different diets! We went on a self drive tour, and had an enjoyable climb up the mountain to Leopard’s Rock, and we had a fabulous 3 hour sundowner drive through the bush, spotting animals and birds, and a cool drink watching the sun set. we will definitely be returning here next visit to Namibia

“Johann ,Ilona we can't begin to tell what Ondundu means for us, in short: Home away from home!”

We don't even know where to start.. This is really an amazing place to stay and it's all thanks to the incredible kindness of the hosts Johann and Ilona. We had some issues with our tires and cancellation of our flight..but thanks to Johann those -issues - were soon forgotten. We stayed 2 nights in one of the spacious tents with excellent bedding equiped for selfcatering. But we preferred to enjoy the delicious meals prepared by Philomon. The riverbeds and surrounding mountains are worthwile exploring alone or with Chris a great guide. No doubt in our mind: "we'll be back...soon ;) "

A fantastic lodge made with love and passion on the way from Swakopmund to Etosha Dalton gates. Excellent location on the bank of a river at a distance from the main road, a lot of animals and birds, friendly owners, comfortable accommodation, great fireplace. Highly recommended.

We had a wonderful experience! Johann (the Host) and his family were incredibly welcoming and made sure that we had a great stay, including the best braai we ever had. Thanks also to Philmon, who always provided delicious food. At the end Johann also provided us with really helpful tips for the rest of our journey that we enjoyed following.

Lovely couple and super helpful. We enjoyed our stay a lot and hope to come back soon.
