great company, good person kind soul. All round great time spent. Clean facilities, good communication for getting in, and great pointers for local adventures seen so many amazing reviews of the place and he truly made it a welcome stay.

I want to say Jiro is the best host I have ever had the chance to sleep at, with his cordiality and genuine generosity. He had a bike free to use, coffee tea and water, and always helpful for any need coming from my side. If you are visiting Kamakura, you should definetely sleep at his place!

“Perfect home base for exploring Kamakura”

We had such a great stay here. The host was so welcoming and the room was perfect. It was nice to get out of hostels and get a local home stay touch. The location was about 20 min walk from central, no problem really but the extra addition of being able to use bikes for free was so helpful. We loved exploring Kamakura this way. The home was clean and comfortable. We just wished we could have stayed longer! Thanks so much for a great stay, we hope to come back some day.

Jiro was very welcoming and offered to lend us bikes for free. We were also able to do laundry for free. The room was comfy, although it seems some refurbishment is ongoing.

Jiro is the most kind host ever! He will chat with you like you are friends for a couple years. We really felt comfortable staying here. It was also nice that we could borrow the bikes! It was like 10min bike to the beach :)

Honestly if you want the best stay you could have in japan itself, this is place. Jiro is absolutely amazing and by the far the best person I've met in japan and he has created a life memory for me and my mate. We can't thank Jiro enough and I would absolutely come back to japan just to stay with jiro 11/10.

I really enjoyed my stay at Jiro’s. I liked everything about it. It is a very relaxing atmosphere. Located in a quiet neighbourhood close to the beach. The room was spacious and comfortable. The amenities were good too. The wifi worked well. Jiro and his son made my stay very nice and enjoyable, they are the nicest people! I wish I could have stayed longer. It was my favourite stay of my two month trip in Japan. Thank you for everything!! 😊

Everything was perfect. Our room was spacious, and the kitchen was equipped with everything we needed. The fact that there was even a Bialetti available for brewing coffee was a huge plus. Moreover, the staff were friendly and courteous.
