“Stylish hotel, delicious food, friendly staff, quiet spot in busy Kamakura.”

We booked this quite last minute because we couldn't find a campsite nearby (we were traveling in a small camper). What a stylish, quiet place in bustling Kamakura. Just a few streets away from the busy seaside boulevard. We received a very friendly welcome and had a nice chat in French with one of the Japanese ladies, who had lived and worked in France for a year. The dinner was very refined and delicious, a fusion of Mediterranean and Japanese cuisine. The breakfast was also very well presented and tasty (you choose what you want to eat in advance). We really enjoyed the hotel and our comfortable room. Highly recommended!

A very nice hotel, small with focus on quality service. The staf was very helpfull. Food was delicious. Super bar and good wines and and home made special softdrinks was nice. A stay at Bird hotel can be recommended

Great hotel with a Japandi vibe - very clean, minimalistic, but spacious standard room (the biggest we lived in in Japan), very welcoming and attentive staff, great breakfast. Close to the beach.

Fantastic gateway hotel. The atmosphere of the hotel it quite pleasant. Only 6 rooms, not busy traffic. Breakfast was great. Check in / out was easy. You need to be skillful with driving.

This was a very unique hotel located at the end of a quiet street. The aesthetic is beautiful—it was probably the most thoughtfully designed place we stayed during our entire trip. Every piece of equipment and utensil felt curated with great care. It felt less like a standard hotel and more like a refined inn above a high-quality restaurant. It was also, by far, the largest room I’ve stayed in in Japan (lol). All the staff were incredibly warm and welcoming. I must specifically mention the breakfast: it was the best we had across this tour of 11 cities!!! The seasoning of every ingredient was perfect. If we had more time, we absolutely would have returned for lunch. I highly recommend this place if you are a foodie.

It was in a fantastic location, very close to the beach but peaceful and quiet. The staff were super attentive, helpful and professional. The hotel is rather westernised in its setup, lots of space and extremely comfortable. We loved the origami book with free origami paper on the bookshelf and little touches dotted around the hotel which really added to the personal feel of the place.

Quaint and cute! Facility was superb! Everything looks so much better than the photos you see.

Everything about the hotel was very nice, staff was extremely friendly and accommodating. I was a bit worried about the comments that sometimes the dogs are barking, but we didn’t hear any dogs during our stay. Location was great as well.

Really enjoyed our one night stay in this small hotel, that has large comfortable rooms, modern and yet cosy. Our room was overlooking the outside dining space. We slept very well, very quiet surroundings. We loved the private bath, an onsen that you book for 40 min (as the hotel has 6 guest rooms it was easy to get a spot). You can then enjoy your private space, in our case with my partner (when we are usually separated in the onsens a due to gender). Very close by to the beach and a delicious soba restaurant.

This hotel surpassed all our expectations. The staff is super friendly. Location is great, away from the business of the main streets but within walking distance, and also just a few mins walk to the beach! The dinner we had there was the best we had so far in Japan, and we love the food in Japan! The room was really comfortable, beds and bathroom were great as well. And we could park in from of the hotel. Would recommend to anyone going to Kamakura!

We just loved everything. Set just a few steps away from the sea down a quiet little road and hidden behind trees. Bird is a beautiful, small, excpetionally clean, modern hotel. You will just fall in love with it. And the help and assistance we had to get us on a 5am train to the airport was beyond kind. We couldnt get a taxi that our early so the hotel kindly drove us to the station - we are so very grateful. Thank you. We didnt want to leave.
