Overview
Located 1790 metres above sea level in Kaltenbach, Berggasthof Platzlalm is situated on ski slopes in the Ski Optimal Hochzillertal Ski Region. A sauna and large relaxation area with reclining deckchairs are available at the hotel. All rooms have under-floor heating, a seating area and a flat-screen satellite TV. A private bathroom is also included. High ceilings, solid wood furniture, wood floors and wall paneling are characteristic features of the rooms. Berggasthof Platzlalm’s restaurant, bar and dining area are all rustically furnished. A large tiled stove, wood-burning fireplace and flat-screen TV are also featured. The huge terrace provides lots of seating area and panoramic views of the surrounding Alpine landscape. Guests can relax in one of the terrace’s hammocks or large bean bags. A children’s playground and ski storage room are also on the property. A paragliding centre is 3 km away. Kaltenbach village centre is 12 km away. In winter the hotel can only be reached with skis. Innsbruck is 35 km away.

“Stunning hotel with amazing views, second to none service and exceptional quality interior.”
This was hands down the most amazing place we've stayed at during our trips around Europe. We were expecting a pleasant Austrian lodge, got a boutique luxury hotel instead. The service was way better than what we were comfortable with as we really didn't expect half of it. Prosecco for breakfast, scrambled eggs decorated with flowers, brilliant schnitzel for dinner, spotlessly clean rooms, stunning wooden floors and finishes, candles on the balcony with a lighter and blankets ready to enjoy the views, superbly comfortable beds and a big modern smart TV for that rainy evening. There weren't many guests when we came and it seems the owner put us up in the best room despite it being larger than our booking. The view was stunning. We'll be back.

“Cozy hut with beautiful view”

“Very cozy mountain lodge”
Personal was super nice , you feel like home . It was summer and not busy at all and they still do everything for you , we arrived later and kitchen was waiting for us to make sure we get a dinner .
