“Perfect stay in Kalpitiya close to the beach”

The service is amazing and the people working there are very welcoming and friendly. My scooter had a flat tire (twice), and both the times they helped me so good with fixing it. Thanks a lot!!

I really enjoyed my stay at Sandy Edge. The room was excellent and the location is ideal, situated between the kite schools on one side and a wide selection of restaurants on the other. However, there is little need to leave the hotel, as the food at Sandy Edge is outstanding. Both breakfast and dinner were of high quality and very reasonably priced. A special mention must go to the staff and host. Everyone was exceptionally friendly and helpful, contributing greatly to a very pleasant stay. Sandy Edge comes highly recommended and I would gladly return.

“Peaceful stay”

Prasanna and his staff were communicative, friendly and welcoming. The room was comfortable and clean, and the bed had a good mosquito net. The setting was very peaceful, just what we needed. Overall, good value for money.

Fantastic stay at Sandy Edge. The host was very kind and the breakfast is very good. The rooms are very clean and spacious. You can walk to the beach in 5 minutes and there are plenty of restaurants and small Supermarkets to get supplies nearby. I would highly recommend staying here.

“Friendly hosts and exceptional food :)”

The hosts were very helpful and friendly. The room was basic but still pleasant-nice seating area outside and hammock. The food was exceptional :)

The ppl here are so friendly and the vibe is sociable and beach hut style which is fun. Rooms are basic but they are good value, as described and have everything you need. Also the night sounds are really cool, it feels a bit like camping/being closer to nature. The rooms have a nice shaded and cushioned front porch to chill on in the heat of the day.

Very nice bungalows in a beautiful garden. A very friendly and nice host family. Most delicious rice and curry that we had during our month in Sri Lanka.

The host was amazing, and really really helpful. He helped us to book ongoing transport as well as giving us tips for the local area and helping us book bicycles. An amazing stay. Great breakfast.

Lovely, kind hosts who were happy to help with anything. Clean, well maintained property. Mosquito nets over beds. Very cute huts. The dolphin watching trip was super - literally hundreds of spinner dolphins!

“Friendly, attentive host, great stay”

A lovely start to our time in Sri Lanka. Prasanna was an excellent and attentive host. He helped us arrange a dolphin trip and onward travel to Wilpattu across the lagoon. Food was great, the cabanas were clean, and comfortable and the location just a short walk from the beach.

very friendly and helpful host, we got a local breakfast on request, very charming little bungalows with a terrace and nice garden, very good and fresh food, not far from a long beach, no a lot of tourists, calm and quiet, comfortable bed with a mosquito net

Sandy Kites has been an amazing experience. Prassanna and his family are unbelievably kind, considerate, and always up for a chat. The rooms are cosy and comfortable & the food - cooked by Prassanas farther in law - is delicious. He has connections throughout the local village and is always trying to give back and boost the local economy. We can't wait to stay again.

Lovely family and beyond helpful in everything. The evening meal is great - note there is no where else close to go too. The large space for all guests is a great meeting place. I would recommend staying here and with their planned improvements coming - coffee machine, more food etc will be even better. I wish them great success

Sandy edge is nicely located near the beaches in Kalpitya. The host is friendly, the food is good and the bungalows are clean.
