The owner is lovely and very helpful. The rooms are decent and the shared bathrooms are fine too. The location is great for getting to the beach. We had an excellent stay and have fond memories of the owner, who invited us to share some good times with him.

I loved everything at Salt Bay, the bungalows with their open air bathroom and the front terrasse, spent a lot of time there reading with a view on the coconut trees, the Grand kitchen and communal room, we had the best food cooked with love by our Chef. Wishing him all the best in the future

Nice location in the nature and very quiet. Walking distance from the beach, the kite spot, the shop and other restaurants. Bungalows are cute with a huge coconut trees garden. The owner is lovely, he cooked local dishes for me because eating local foods is an important side when travelling IMO. He also arranged my private car to airport the last day. Thank you thusitha :)

Beautiful location, very kind and helpful staff, lovely dogs and lots of birds! There's a restaurant as well and the outdoor seating is very comfortable!

“Perfect , feels like holiday”

The accomodation was so cozy and there was a huge property with palms sourrounded by a river. The beach is just 500m away.

“Warm hearted stay”

Very affordable stay with Thusitha and his friends. He's a very kind man with a big heart, especially for the street dogs, as he's adopted 7 of them! They're all cute and very calm. He offered me free lunch twice and his breakfast options are very big. Which is especially great when hungry in the morning! I stayed in the budget room which doesn't have the frontbed like the pictures but he allowed me to use it, which was perfect! There's also an option to have All in BBQ for 12 euros. The owners are so kind very friendly. The Cabin is very cute and unique even without an air conditioner its still pleasant so we sleeped very well. He even gave us also a bottle of water for free for our trip which is about 4 hours ride to Kandy and we are very thankful for that.

Stayed for 4 nights. Booked the tent, but got an apartment. I really enjoyed and Thusitha is a very nice host and really tries to make you feel like home. I can totally recommend!

“Very nice place to stay at Kalpitiya”

I stayed here for 3 nights. The staff was really kind. They cooked a really nice breakfast and dinner for me everyday and it felt really homey. I would definitelt recomment this place for visiting Kalpitiya. The dolphin watching was amazing aswell! I got a good price

Cool terrace/restaurant and good location.

The cottages are very nice with their own outside bathroom. The setting next to the water is beautiful and Thusitha is a wonderful person doing his best to make your stay comfortable and to make you feel at home. The breakfast was reaaalllyy good. The location is a short walk to the beach (<5min) and restaurants. There is also the possibiltity to eat there.

Great host and staff had a delicious fish dinner cooked by the owner. Highly recommended

“Amazing stay, amazing people - would definitely return!”

Beautiful cabana in a beautiful setting with very lovely, accommodating staff. The resort owner was especially hilarious, friendly and kind, which really added to our amazinga. The free breakfast was very nice, and the dinner was delicious.. Free coffee, tea and water too.

Super quiet and nice place. Lots of games and activities for the kids, beach is 5mn walk. We love the food, breakfast and dinner, service was excellent and people super friendly.
