What a special place this is. We were the only guests for our 5 night stay and were offered the beach villa which had a wonderful outlook to the dunes and sea. The swimming pool was kept exceptionally clean and the food and service from Cyril and Sandaru was the best.

The place was wonderful. Close to the sea, quiet and tidy. But the main part of the experience is thanks to the amazing chef Cyril who cooked us the most delicious meals on the entire island. A man with a huge heart and golden hands.

It is a wonderful place, with very spacious and beautifull rooms. The pool is lovely, overlooking the sea! Great place for beach and countryside lovers.

Great and exceptionally friendly staff — the friendliest we’ve met (and that says a lot, even for Sri Lanka). We also enjoyed a perfect dinner here; he cooks himself and is an excellent chef.

Friendliness of the staff members. The food was sensational and we were also given free coconut as well as seasonal fruits for our breakfast. Can’t ask more for that. It was definitely worth the buck! Nice coconut farm and secluded beach! Few very friendly and beautiful dogs which appears to be very well cared for by the owners.

Sri and his team went out of their way to make our stay as pleasant as possible. The service and kindness were truly exceptional. Worth noting: On our second night, we were offered a complimentary upgrade to the honeymoon room—an all-glass, secluded space perched on a sand dune with an ocean view. Waking up there was truly magical. Sri is also an Ayurvedic master. He gave me an unforgettable full-body treatment, and the next morning, we had a yoga session by the pool. In both activities, he not only demonstrated deep expertise but also explained the underlying principles of Ayurveda in a way that was easy to grasp. I highly recommend trying these. At 5 a.m., they had arranged a fishing trip with local fishermen. Although it was too windy to go out to sea, they adapted the plan and taught us stationary fishing on the beach instead. The fishermen eventually caught some small crabs, which the chef prepared for breakfast—such a unique experience. We really appreciated the opportunity to plant a tree with our name in their garden at the end of our stay. The pool overlooking the ocean was also a highlight. If you're looking for an authentic, thoughtfully curated experience by the ocean—one that also aligns with sustainable, long-term goals—this is the place to go. The courtesy of the staff despite us cutting our stay short due to flies and property not meeting our expectations given price. Pool is nice but decking needs replacing to avoid splinters and a rail to prevent falls.

Staying at Majestic was like a true retreat experience. It was so natural and the infinity pool was incredible. The sunsets from the pool/beach were beautiful every night. The staff offered exceptional service, in fact the best I have ever experienced. There were also loads of games on offer (scrabble, cards. Chess etc) and the food was also delicious. I would highly recommend this accommodation to anyone. Nothing was too much to ask for! Thank you to all the team at Majestic for making our stay so welcoming and memorable :)

The Majestic Beach Retreat with its location, amenities and hospitality is one of the best holiday locations on the Western coastal belt of Sri Lanka. I could truly unwind and relax at this retreat to the sounds of the ocean's waves. Its infinity pool offers beautiful vistas of the setting sun. A place I would return again and also recommend to others. Thank you for making my stay very memorable and special.

“very rude host nothing like what you see they rent two rooms not a retreat only have two rooms”

We went to the property, but the rooms were not what they had advertise on the booking.com we waited with my kids over an hour the owner did not attend the care taker took calls to the owner and called me an evil women I could clearly hear. The air condition was not working both rooms the care taker tried to fix it but could not the temperature Wass over 40 with young kids and boiling hot weather could not stay the owner stayed even if they are to fix the Aircon we have to pay separately for that share did not tell me that before booking she only asked for money. Very unsafe place the whole building is only two rooms Not separate two cabanas in the middle of nowhere in boiling hot whether without ac with rite care taker how can we stay we asked the care taker to connect to the owner she was wore than the care taker refuse to refund the deposit and said I need to stay back to fix the air condition if I want it was way past check-in time, and we have stayed outside already over 1 hour we left after complaining. Utterly disappointed

A lot of effort was put in to make our stay pleasant. An unusual facility was that there was always free drinking water. Every other hotel charges. Both owner and staff put a lot of effort in to make the stay enjoyable. Again, does not happen everywhere.
