The natural surroundings have been really nice. We enjoyed a quiet and peaceful atmosphere during off-season. The beautiful garden and our bungalow plus the absolute friendly stuff made us feel like home.

Amazing destination for kite holidays. We loved staying at the camp, really enjoyed the fact that we had all our meals at one big table with the other guests, so easy to meet new people that share the same passion for kite surfing. Also hard to beat the staffs friendliness and costumer service, absolutely 5star outstanding. Main Kitesurfing spot (Lagoon) is as well great, though always gusty winds (+10kn gusts to base wind). Perfect for beginners. If you're a better kiter though, you'll definitely want to go on the kite trips. The trip spots are much nicer, but can add up in quite an additional budget (25-45EUR/trip).

Had a great experience at KSL! From the moment I arrived, everyone was very friendly, which made me feel at home immediately. They organise many events through the week and every day you have your meals with all the other guests at one big table, so you’ll meet people quickly! The staff is involved well in your kite progress, which makes it a great place to learn. Would definitely go again!

“Great experience staying a few days in the off season”

The space is absolutely gorgeous, from the well designed bungalows to the common areas, yoga shalas and so on. A lot to explore, not only flora and fauna wise. The food was decent (besides the Pad Thai?), the team very kind (s/o Sebastian). DIY-activities, like taking the kayak out are great, we even got to see bioluminescent plankton swimming in the calm ocean at night. Highly recommend, even if you're not into kitesurfing

The food was abundant, diverse, and absolutely delicious, making every meal a real pleasure. Most activities on-site are free, which is a huge plus, and I also added the dolphin watching tour—an unforgettable, magical experience that I highly recommend! One of my best memories in Sri Lanka, and honestly, you could easily spend a whole week here without ever getting bored. I can’t wait to come back!

A special shout-out to the property manager, who made us feel welcome from the start. His attention to detail and genuine interest in making our stay as comfortable as possible went above and beyond our expectations. It’s clear that he takes pride in ensuring everything runs smoothly, and his hospitality was top-notch. The chef deserves an equally glowing review. Every meal was a delight – from traditional Sri Lankan dishes to international favorites, everything was cooked to perfection. The fresh seafood was particularly spectacular, and we loved the variety of flavors and ingredients that were used. Dining at the hotel was truly an experience in itself. The rooms are beautifully designed with comfort and style in mind. Whether you’re staying in the cozy beachfront chalets or the stylishly modern rooms, you’ll find everything you need for a perfect stay. The open-air feel, combined with excellent amenities, made for an incredibly peaceful and relaxing environment. The sea breeze and sounds of the waves just outside my window created the ideal atmosphere for unwinding after a day of adventure. We had the pleasure of going on a boat ride to experience dolphin watching, and it was absolutely magical! The boat ride itself was scenic and peaceful, and seeing the playful dolphins in their natural habitat was an experience we’ll never forget.

It feels like you are on a campsite in France but when you look around, you see beautiful wooden huts and coconut trees everywhere. The common areas are really nice and plenty of it. The vibe is also really great and sociable. Especially if you are a kitesurfer this is paradise! But when you are not (really), as we were, this place also has a lot of nice activities and beach to offer!!

No luxury, but all the essentials. Totally chill vibes. very nice staff. Lovely breakfast, lunch and dinner. Off-season so the domain was like ours! Good for those who like “off the beaten track”.

best property in Kalpitiya, maybe in entire Sri Lanka. great value for money, very comfortable, the staff is very professional and helpful. They also have a few kayaks and SUPs for their guests to use, for free! Also, they are right at the lagoon so one can easily paddle to the village as well as the ocean. Food was awesome as expected.

“Relaxing stay with water sports use”

Lovely small resort with lots of chill out spaces and free use of the kayaks and SUPs. The room was lovely equipped with a mosquito net ( which was definitely needed) and was very clean. Dinner was also very good.

Great food and people. Instruction good if available and questionably dangerous with the amount on the lagoon. I wish we had known on check in the lack of instructors so we could have switched locations. overall expensive weighing in on good local resources for kite surfing. rooms no ac, lots of flys and mostiqos another reason not to stay. guests awkward and not friendly.

The stuff is very friendly The Bungalows are between palms and it is created all very sweet. The beach is nice.
