Lovely owner, great atmosphere and vibe. The owner is a lovely man who makes you feel right at home. We had a lovely stay at summer wave and we recommend it.

It is a very quiet place where you feel as at home. The owner and all the staff are nice people always willing to help. The location is also very good, very near to a beach ideal to swim anytime.

Amazing Owner and Stuff, Great energy, helpful and intelligent :) The place is brand new - so it’s all new, clean and well done. It’s just growing life now. To the Beach it’s a few minutes walk. To the kite-surf-spots it’s not far. On the way if you walk there, there are tons of beautiful shells etc. The owner had another “summer wave” for the last 5 years somewhere more in the north, but it was destroyed by the heavy storm in the end of 2025. So he stated in January 2026 by risk this new place. Hope it will become established. We will certainly come again when back in Sri Lanka my man :)

“Cute cabanas close to the beach with the best owner”

This new place is really wonderful, we enjoyed so much our 5 nights there. Roshan is the best host, he has built this place with taste and intelligence. He wants you to have a good experience, but also knows about privacy. The place is very close to the beach, walking distance.

The peaceful big graden with different spots to chill and read. The Hamocks and outdoor bed, also the option to do yoga on a plattform in the middle of palmtrees. The best food in sri lanka and the warm and decent hostpitality of harshan. Open shower with lots of shells and a very airy room, with a big mosquitonet.

Fantastic chilled place to stay and totally relax. Very authentic and beautiful gardens. Great bungalow type rooms with terrace and lovely shower . Loved the outdoor gym. Cant recommend this place enough. Loved it.

Harshan will surely remain one of my most beautiful encounters in Sri Lanka. With his finnish friend, Inna, we remade the world around squid in coconut milk From the garden/grilled fish (bought together not far from the fishermen) and good local béer! recommend these paratas for breakfast. “Nice simple and quiet place, a bit far from everything”

The place is nice and quiet, nice simple huts, the owner is very kind

First question is what are you looking for and how much are you willing to pay for it. If you are honest, this place is unbeatable. You have a humble accomodation in the middle of a small palm trees jungle, and of course there will be bugs, geekos and some birds and local vendors screaming at different hours...it is all part of the experience. You can have great food for breakfast and dinner, and Harshan will try to suggest you the best for any question that you might have. He will also try to accomodate for any of your special needs...just do not ask for something that is impossible in the area and in the country. In this respect, I was not able to visit other facilities, but talking with many other turists the local standard does not differ from this in the way to justify 8 or 9 times the price. Bring good branded sunscreen and bug repellent and you will be fine. Great position (walking distance 25 minutes from the kapitiya village, close to other kitesurfing and food options. For kitesurfing no doubt I suggest margarita Kite Centre, check my review on Google). Enjoy.

“Very cozy and cute little resort.”

Hashan is an awesome host! He is very caring and you can always count on him for anything and have nice chats! We basically found a new friend! His little resort is very cozy. The rooms were simple but you had everything you needed. You can choose your breakfast and Dinner Time and the food was really good too. His dogs and his cat are super friendly and cute and he takes care not only of his customers but also of all the animals. Thanks again for having us, it was a great experience ❤️

100% lovely! 🔥🌴 This is the place where you keep extending your stay because you found a treasure filled with kindness, waving palm trees and chill vibes. You will have your own beachy house with relaxing chairs on the terrace where you can hang out, read a book or pet the cute dogs & cats that playfully guard you. If you are as lucky as I was, your cozy home has an outdoor shower directly under a palmtree!! I loved it! Harshan and his lovely side kicks Mom and Aunt make you feel welcome from the moment you enter the gate and make sure you have the best time with everything you need. The food they cook is amazing and I would highly recommend you ask the ladies to cooked what they would like to cook that day; they will keep surprising your tast buds with fresh new flavors! Your new Sri Lankan Mom can prepare a big ass squid in 15 min. and it was the best meal I had in Sri Lanka (and I do no even like squid, haha). Perfect for sporty guests, because the windsurf & kite school is only a 10 min. walk down the road, you can go for a work out in the gym or do yoga in the garden. More layback? Not to worrry; take a free bicycle for a spin to the other side of the bay and relax! Many many thanks for my wonderfull stay! I treasure it and will think about you when I wear my sari (I got a free folding lesson)! ❤️
