“Great stay”

Tranquil, rural setting, stunning views of the surrounding landscape. Exceptionally clean, very spacious and well organized space, a great terrace to enjoy the evening glass of wine. Located centrally in the island, is a convenient base if you want to explore Zakynthos or to visit all the popular beaches of the island. Sarantis, the owner, stands out as an exceptional guest. As we have arrived rather late in the first day, he offered a very warm welcome, complemented with a home-made meal and a very good self-produced organic wine. He was attentive and in contact for the whole duration of the stay. The villa is well-equipped for self-catering, with a fully functional kitchen and outdoor BBQ facilities.

Lovely villa. Clean and tastefully decorated. Lovely plants and flowers. Incredible views of island and across to the sea. Quiet and rural location. Good central base to explore the whole island. Helpful and friendly host. Lovely food gifts of lemons, oranges, melon and sage. Made our own lemonade and orange juice with the juicer provided. Made our own sage tea. Owner made us fantastic meal on our arrival, traditional stuffed vegetables. Well equiped villa for making our own food. Enjoyed walking down to the well in field below, and views of the church. Olive groves, orange and fig trees as well as a huge Eucalyptus tree nearby. Amazing insects, butterflies and birds. Fab beaches close by, notably Xigia beaches and Alykanas beach and harbour. Very good access to mountains and rocky coves of north and north west parts of the island, an incredibly beautiful area. We had an incredible 2 week stay, and hope to come back. We were given regular cleaning, clean towels and bedding during our stay.

We spent a wonderful holiday week in the villa. Upon arrival, the owner prepared dinner, wine and everything necessary for us. He brought us excellent homemade bread and was very accommodating. The villa has excellent outdoor seating with wonderful views and complete privacy. We would love to come back.

Villa Aelia is located in Skoulikado, extremely beautiful rural place in 10 minutes drive from Alykes and Alykanas beaches (sandy and shallow, ideal for children). The house is cosy and comfortable, inside you can find everything you need, including free wi-fi. Sitting on terrace you can enjoy incredible view down the hill to the distant seaside. There is barbecue in the yard. The nature is overwhelming: near the house there is an olive garden with orange and lemon trees. You feel very safe and private, because of the location. Our host Sarantis is very hospitable and friendly. At our arrival in the late evening he welcomed us by home-made dinner, bottle of wine, juice and other food. Thank you for hospitality! Villa Aelia is the best place we have stayed ever (and we are experienced travellers). We look forward to return here next year.
