In the centre of Kalix, just a stone's throw from the beautiful River Kalix, is Hotell Valhall, offering high-standard single and double rooms and spacious mini suites with private saunas. We did not receive bed linnen for all 4 persons even though I specifically asked if there was at check in. So there were not enough pillows and no duvets for all of us. No AC so the room was very hot.

“A peaceful, Cosy and picturesque place to stay”
The staff could not of been more helpful, Ellen in the restaurant was so polite and lovely. the girls on reception were also so professional and polite ( I forgot to get their names) the hotel itself is very comfortable with spacious rooms and good facilities. The restaurant is absolutely beautiful and the food is exceptional! the breakfast spread is very versatile with every option you can think of. The hotel location is perfect for exploring kalix and is right beside the river which Is beautiful to walk on. Thank you to all the staff for your help with everything during our stay.

The room is super clean ❤️ Kon is very kind and very accommodating to the kids. Reception associates are super friendly and well organised with our request. Breakfast buffet is great. A nice sauna inside a suite room. Super cozy and excellent value for money 👍👍👍

Breakfast.. we came at 8am (breakfast server till 9am) and the buffet was also empty.. no coffee, fruits, cheese, jughurt.. when the plates were refilled the quality was good.

I thnik this is the only place where you can eat normal food in Kalix if you don't want to eat fake pizza, kebab, sushi, hamburger or other kinds of junk food. Had a nice dinner, nice breakfast and also nice lunch. Perfect position

good location, found women’s hair on towels (tuft)…dirty bathroom and soft mattresses…before booking I called at reception and told me is fully booked (I spoke on English and I feel they don’t want me there)…after 3 minutes I checked on “booking.com”, I booked a room and was plenty of rooms available. Think they are racists and don’t like tourists/peoples from other countries.
