“Enchanting! The village and in particular the decoration of the hotel.”

A very calm location in a beautiful village

Very nice buildings. Breakfast staff was very polite and breakfast was basic but satisfactory. Our room was very comfortable and decorated very nicely.

This was not the room we had booked as there were electrical issues in the hotel main building. We were transferred to the annex where the rooms had clearly just been refurbished to a high standard. First class

In a lovely village in its heyday it would have been a fabulous hotel building to stay in

Spacious rooms, quiet and relaxing spaces indoors and outdoors. Love the Spa facilities - our massages were outstanding. Friendly and helpful staff.

“Avoid!”

There is an extreme lack of communication from the property/staff. It was my fiance's birthday and I wanted to ask if they could put a birthday banner up or something but I didn't get a reply. So I followed if up a couple of days later, still no reply. Called the hotel and left a voicemail requesting a call back or to reply to my request, still nothing....... When we checked in the girl at the reception was friendly however, had no knowledge of my messages that was her manager's job! The booking ad states that there is a Hammam at the property that you can use for an extra cost (which was also in my initial enquiry requesting more details about it and did I need to book in advance)! Anyway turns out this is false advertising as it is not a Hammam, it a place where you cover yourself with mud and wait twenty minutes and then rinse off. We were disappointed that this was not what we were expecting but we thought we'd give a go. Had we of known that there was no hot water to wash the mud off with we would not have tried this! As you can imagine it was not a pleasant experience trying to wash the mud off in cold water, albeit, invigorating! We were therefore, doubly looking forward to using the spa bath in our room (which I specially chose as a little treat) to fully wash off (as there was also a residual smell) and relax. Unfortunately for us there was no hot water in our room either. So we called reception, no answer. There was also a mobile number to call for guest services, again no answer! We could find any staff to ask about the situation, as you can imagine this was incredibly frustrating as we were only in towels as we didn't want to get fully dressed until we had at least showered off properly. Fortunately I was looking out the window and the girl from reception, cleaning another room so called over to her to come to our room.

It used to be a wonderful hotel — I stayed there many times.

Nice location, spacious room, I liked the tall ceilings, the variety of food for breakfast

Big comfortable room and bathroom with wonderful style and decoration. Also cosy saloon with a fireplace and relaxing music

The structure of the building and the location was great.

Quirky little hotel with a lovely courtyard for breakfast. The breakfast was lovely with a great choice of hot and cold food. Very comfortable bed and pillows. Great location for the pretty square in the village.

Great concept, just a little tired. Breakfast was good. Beds comfortable. Don't think it's really a 5* hotel. But the staff were lovely. Amazing hotel stome massage.
