I have been to Greece many times. You can book Nefeli without any hesitation. Kalamaki is a perfect base to explore the surrounding beaches and towns, and is much less touristy than Matala (although Matala is only 15 min by car). The rooms are small but very clean, exactly as they are shown in the photos. There is a shared kitchen which was perfect for making sandwiches for the beach. The view… you have to see it. The sunsets were spectacular. Manousos is a wonderful host with warmth and passion for his country and the people who want to visit it. ευχαριστώ !

Manousos is a great host. We felt directly welcomed. 😊 We had some nice talks. The room was clean and we had the chance to decide which room we wanted. You can get sun umbrellas for the beach and around the corner you have a small super market and some restaurants. We also were happy about our leaving present (some herbs)

“Exceptional hospitality in excellent location at great price”

Lovely traditional rooms in a fabulous position with wonderful sunset views from the big balcony in very chilled little resort of Kalamaki. Shared kitchen facilities very useful for breakfast and hot drinks throughout the day. Clean, functional room with small private bathroom at an excellent price. Mannousis the host was an absolute delight - such warmth of hospitality made our stay very enjoyable and relaxed. We will definitely be recommending this to our friends and family as a true taste of Cretan charm.

Our host, Manousos was incredibly friendly, offered suggestions of places to go/eat and went out of his way, for us to be comfortable, including offering us a choice of available rooms.

The host, Mr Manoussos, was super friendly and helpful. During our stay he was eager to answer all of our questions and he treated us with greek coffee and a lot of smiles! The room was clean, with a breathtaking view to the sea. Highly recommended!

Our days in Nefeli were amazing. We stayed in a beautiful room with sea view, clean and really confortable. There is also a common kitchen that was very useful. The best part of our stay was the attention recieved from Manoussos. He was really kind and he always offered a good chat with raki or coffee. “Lovely location”

Location is fantastic, so close to the lovely beach where turtles are nesting, with fantastic views from the balcony. It was very clean and the air conditioning was very good. It is quiet at night. The fridge in the room was a good size.

The place is in a not too turistic or full place of Crete with a good sea and great food. The rooms have a SPECTACULAR view on the sea, it was such a privilege to be there. Manoussos was the best host, always welcoming, he treated me like a daughter. I loved everything

Manousos was an amazing host full of kindness and simplicity. Even though is not a luxury apartment the view is amazing, the location very convenient and hospitality of Manousos makes every little imperfection not relevant

The location was perfect, I had a sea view and could watch sunset every evening from my balcony. The owner was very helpful and friendly.

Amazing view, very nice host, perfect value for money!

At our arrival we have been warmly welcomed by Mr Manousos, who offered us wild figues and raki. He gave us an upgrade of the room, so we could enjoy a beautiful and large triple room instead of the double one. Very clean, very comfortable mattress, nice terrace with sea view...wonderful to relax watching the sunset from there and wonderful to fall asleep with the sounds of the waves. The position of the pension is very close to the beach, around 50 meters, and very close to the main street of the village where we could enjoy nice dinners in good restaurants suggested by Manousos. We have been treated like family and that's the way we felt during our 3-night stay, in a family. We found Manousos a very special person, a kind hearted man, rich in positive energies. We would like to thank him for being so caring and attentive to details, from the very first day until our departure.

Lovely little hotel on the quiet side of the village and beach. Spotlessly clean. Manousos is very kind and very helpful. He is also very knowledgeable and an interesting philosopher
