Located next to Tapioland Water Park, 5 km outside Kalajoki, Tapion Tupa offers self-catering apartments and guest room options. WiFi and parking are free. Set in a traditional, wooden building, Tapion Tupa’s restaurant serves home-cooked buffets and à la carte dishes in a cosy setting. BBQ facilities are also available on site. “Moldy”
This review's purpose is to share our experience there and hopefully prevent others from going through the same thing that happened to us. The room we booked with my boyfriend turned out to be moldy. We are both allergic to mold and detected it right away when we came in the building. After barely 10 minutes in there we had to get allergy medicine at the pharmacy because it was hard to breathe. An old cottage in a warm summer day, all doors and windows closed so no fresh air in there. We went to the reception and asked for another room. They made us pay extra and gave us the key to a whole 9 beds fully equipped cottage. The rest of the evening was good there, very clean and neat. The breakfast next morning unfortunately had no meat (bacon, ham, sausage, etc.), but had porridge, boiled eggs, bread and coffee. Overall we left the place with a bittersweet feeling, knowing they rent overpriced moldy rooms for the next customers to fool, make people pay extra for space they dont need and a tasteless breakfast.

“Easy one night stay.”
Works probably better for families but also for our business travel/group of collegues when everyone knows each other and does not expect privacy. Breakfast was included and the location is easy access.
