Guesthouse Papastathis, beautifully set in the shade of the rocks of Meteora, is only 1 km away from Kalambaka and within walking distance from the centre of the picturesque village Kastraki. All rooms are equipped with air conditioning, central heating, bath or shower, TV and balcony with impressive views of the rocks. Wireless internet is available in public areas and is free of charge, while free private parking is also possible on site. The first monastery of Meteora is only 100 metres from the residence.

“Stunning place”
Best views and location for Meteora, family business. The owner made us feel like family, she even went beyond what the places offer to help me with some washing. Thank you so much Constantina, you make our trip unforgettable. We love the garden and the house, because it is a renovated house. Parking onsite and you can reach the first monastery by foot, excellent restaurants at 2 minutes walk from the house. Highly recommended.

“It depends on your requirements and expectations.”
We had mixed impressions about this guesthouse, so I’ll share both the positives and the downsides. The biggest advantage is definitely the location-the views are absolutely stunning, it feels like you can almost touch the beauty of Meteora around you. It’s also the closest place to the small monastery of Saint Nicholas Anapafsas-just a short walk away, so you don’t have to deal with traffic or parking. Unfortunately, we weren’t lucky with the weather: on the second day there was heavy rain and thick fog, so we didn’t manage to see any other monasteries. But based on other reviews though, it seems they’re all quite easy to reach. We had a double room with a beautiful panoramic view of Meteora. The host was very kind and friendly. The room was clean and had a small fridge, a hairdryer, and basic toiletries. It’s about a 10-minute walk to the restaurants, though there’s one just a minute away (we read it wasn’t the best, so we walked to Taverna Ouzeri PAPPAS instead-and it was absolutely worth it!).

“Marvelous Meteora”
A great place to stay when visiting Meteora on the edge of the village and the road leading up to the monasteries. Also the hiking paths. Nice tavernas close by too!

“Perfect stay in”
Konstantinia was a kind and helpful host. We felt as if we were staying in an old world European challet. Comfortable and welcoming. The location was perfect. K also gave us a recommendation for a nearby restaurant which was amazing.

“Absolutely awesome!”
The hostess, Constantina, was so lovely, receiving and accommodating. The breakfast was a perfect start to our big day ahead! The views from our room just felt like we were completely immersed in in this incredible place! We just wished we could’ve have stayed longer and when we got back we will stay with Constantina
