Hospitality was great, best ever experience! We came for Meteora and Kastraki is definitely the place to stay as it is very quiet and cozy. The Stone Forest itself is in the very heart of the village and also has a great Taverna.

“Everything fabulous!”

Chris greeted us before we stepped in and immediately made us feel home, showing our modern and very comfortable room with beautiful views and the nice balcony. All staff is super friendly and helpful with tips. The place is very well cared for in every detail. The beds were very comfortable, the bathroom very clean. For breakfast coffee and juice are served at no extra costs on the ground floor with Greek yogurt, fruits, fresh bread, marmalade and honey and a choice of Greek pastries. He also gave us good tips. For dinner the attached Taverna Gardenia offered excellent food at reasonable prices and I always left with a little gift (a sweet, a bottle of water, an ouzo). Location is quiet (though everything was a little quiet due to low season) and perfect for hiking to the monasteries. Loved every moment of my stay at The Stone Forest and Meteora! and indeed I decided to stay one addtional night.

This hotel is a hidden gem. The room was gorgeous with a view of some of the Meteora monasteries. The staff are amazing! We were greeted by Christo who was helpful, kind and generous. We were given complimentary ouzo after our dinner at the restaurant and we even received a packed breakfast when we had to check out early. We loved our two nights in this hotel.

“A little guest house gem!”

The accommodation was light, bright, new and clean with a great view of the rock formations. The location was perfect and the family hospitality was wonderful. Would highly recommend.

Outstanding service and room, the staff were so friendly and welcoming. Would love to come back and spend more time here. Everything was fantastic. We had dinner in the restaurant and that was also top notch. Breakfast buffet was also provided and delicious.

Clean and very comfortable. Modern and well appointed. Ideally located next to main road leading up to the monasteries with great views from the room balcony. The Gardenia Taverna attached to the accommodation offered excellent food at very reasonable prices. Service from staff of both hotel and taverna was exceptional.

THESE PEOPLE! ARE! THE! BEST!! We spent two nights at the Stone Forrest and are leaving with the warm, fuzzy feeling of having just stayed with family. From the very first moment, we were welcomed with ouzo, laughter, and the best beef, pork—and omg, those meatballs! And that was only the tavern. The guesthouse itself was perfect: comfortable, spotless, and completely focused on us as guests. It wasn’t just “accommodation service”—it was true Greek family hospitality. The bed was huge and so comfy, the cleanliness was flawless, and the atmosphere of genuine warmth was unlike anything we’ve experienced anywhere else. Special mention to Niko Jnr—so warm, engaging, and completely genuine. Not a “host routine,” just the real thing! 💕 And to Jimi—for the best cooked meats and wise advice—and to Vaitsa, who gave us such thoughtful, beautiful service and care during our stay. We absolutely loved it here, and we’ll do everything we can to find this kind of experience again. 💕

Located in the heart of town, the location is great and parking is convenient. The hotel's decoration is very modern, the space is comfortable, and the breakfast is simple but delicious.
